Pilar Montenegro is a Mexican Latin pop singer and actress. In 2001Pilar released the album Desahogo. The album debuted at No. 2 on the Latin Billboard Chart and sold over 200,000 copies in the United States reaching Platinum status. The album produced the hit single “Quitame Ese Hombre”, which hit No. 1 and earned Pilar various award nominations.
