Back fr supper. HK Cafe at Katong n Bedok 85. The usu gang - Yee, Nik, Tk, Kimm, Seng, Momo, Nic. Jie wasnt round coz he's out of town. Kinda realise that the HK cafe was the same one as in Nov area. (no wonder the menu looks familar...) But like what Arte always tell Momo. Arte's main purpose there's to mt the gang not exactly the food. But of coz the food theres oso not bad. Aftall, Arte also freq the 1 at Nov with Min & Ah Sa~ =p

Was telling Leng yesterday that Arte's gonna include the following part in her journ.

Leng, "How good would it be if everyone has been nicely pair once they are born"
Arte, "Like that not no need to find the other half. Like tat not gonna be very boring coz when u see the person u'll know its him."
Leng, "Or we are all paired but we have to go search for the correct one?? O wait. hows that from diff fr whats happening now??"
Arte, "Else like that la.... Make it that we are all paired but then have to go find. But if its not the right one u'll know it at 1st sight.=p"

Actually Arte & Leng just said that coz they just feel that sometime its very difficult to see if the guy likes the gurl. Sometimes they just treat them as good frens or treat them as younger sis-es...

Then theres also some cases where ppl u like dun like u n ppl u dun end up falling for u.... & like what Arte wrote earlier... Some ppl just dun seem to get it.... Arte is only cold to 2 types of ppl. 1 type the kind she likes. The other the kinds the kind that annoys her. Arte rem her her cousin got say b4 that some guys get tongue tied when toking to a gurl they like. (mayb for fear of saying the wrong things...) well, I guess it also happens for gurls too~ But at least for the former, she sometime will still tok... But well, like what Arte was telling Seng, few things that she learnt fr the past would include not really making the 1st move. At most is just send some hints... But of coz she'll also get the msg from the other party that its time to stop.

Heard is somewhere a few days back. It says when u like a person, it's the feeling... Kinda agree to it. If u like a person, u like the person for the way the person is.. The person as a whole... Not to fill up the void n not cause the person is nice. Was complaining to Seng n Yee just now that if u like some1 coz the person is nice, there are so many around.... It's more out of the feeling. For liking every thing bt the person, the way the person speaks, the way the person laffs, the way the person behaves, acts n every thing else.... These qualities are unique to each individual. These are the qualities that make a person special un-copiable...

Though everyone will have a checklist for their dream gurl / guy, very freq, the person they fall for dun really match the checklist... It'll just fit into some of the qualities. Very freq, those quailities are the non-superficial qualities and even if they do fit into the qualities, its in their unique ways~

Leng once said that Augustine got tell her a ladder theory....

While guys rank all gurls in a ladder n the 1 on the top will normally the one who's most likely to be her gf. As for gurls, they have 2 ladders... 1 with those who belongs to the impossible n another which belongs to the potential.

Well, Arte guess most of the time, guys will cont to go aft the 1 on top of their ladder... Cont to test water until a time which they either decide that the gurls hooked to them or they find another one whos higher up the ladder or they decide to go for the 2nd on the ladder instead... Well, Arte said this b4... Test waters fun coz it has an element of unknown to it. But when u really get hooked to the other party, its no more fun... coz u'll really start to wonder issit it or issit not.... & end up with "DAMN IT! Cant things be more transparant?? Faintz*"

As mentioned in previous journ, arte was in the West on Tues... So how bt Wed n Thurs?

On Wed, Arte arrived 9 for inteview at Innovalve (Kallang). Interview was rather formal. Kinda boring... Dun like std qn like 'tell me bt urself'. Can they just phrase the qn in a more interesting manner?? Faintz*

Finished it like bt 10. Realising that it's a bit dumb to wake up so early go interview n then back home to sleep, Arte msg-ed her best fren (UK boi) to see if he was up for bf. Surprisingly, the boi was awake~ So they met for bf Shaw Mac... 12 plus, UK boi went off to mt his fren while Arte decided to go take passport size pic n head home....

Leng called to ask if Arte was free for dessert at Katong. Made her way to Tampines IKEA to mt her n her fren. Her fren was kinda in a rush to get back to sch so we just hopped into a shuttle bus w/o chkg where it was heading.... reaslised that it was heading to SengKang.... OPS~! Her fren alighted at SengKang while the 2 gurls took the same bus back to IKEA to hop on the shuttle that goes to some East side train stn followed by train n a bus to the dessert shop. Have to say, the weather was so DXXX HOT!!!! ARGH!!!!!!

Aft dessert was proceeding to TPY to meet Steve. My phone's batt was running super low (n ended up no batt) n he was late. Faintz* Din at KFC... Chatted till 11 plus.... Home.

Summary that day was really the East Area day.... 

 

Thurs... Interview at 2 pm. Was late. Wasnt exactly keen in the Log job just went to see see n find out more... Interview was more like chatting session. Just chat with the manager (tink Arte kinda gave him sth like a coffee break chat....) Well, though Arte wasnt interested in the post, shes glad that she gained some knowledge of the industry fr the manager~

Aft interview was mtg Min at Cityhall... Had Brunch at the HK cafe. Chat till eve... Walked around a bit... Min headed home for din & Arte to meet L3 n SY at tpy.

Went To Long John n the bubble place followed by Mac. Didn really get things to eat. Just sat down to chat. Left at 11 plus coz Mac was closing....

 

Friday... Resume search day....
The 1st interview coy called back to Arte. Offered her the job. But its rather far... so Arte said she needed sometime to consider. they called back again in the eve saying that they are willing to give her an increment. Arte still said she needed to tink things thru.... Well, she still is.... Actually she knows how come she got this increment. Its coz they really needed ppl to replace the current person who will be transferred to another dept & of the thing bt this job is the pay is ok. But prospect n training wise.... Like nv really say. So mayb arte it might not be wise to take up the job. But the manager n directors seems rather nice though. Job scope is stress but the things Artes supposed to do sounds interesting to her too.

On 1 hand, Arte dun mind trying out the job cos it interests her (n truth is there aint many jobs that can interest her one...). On the other the job prospect's not cfm-ed.... & somemore if Arte's replacing the other person, tink there will be quite some work that will be dumped onto her. But then again, this is very freq rather common.

See how ba. Mayb mon call another 2 coys which she is really keen in to see if they got vacancy not n decide how most prob will go see the letter. If they allow me to leave the coy during probation w/o much string attached then mayb take it ba. Else most prob see how things go...

Had din wit Leng, Seng n Norsh. Na last min couldnt make it. Chatted a lot~~~ Came back bt 3 plus... Got caught in tunnel repairs at 3 am. & the thing is there was a jam n were still lotsa ppl who where caught there at 3am!!!! Faintz~

Today
Was supposed to mt 1 of her best fren aka UK boi aka Zhiwei aka  Mr teo (n what else is he called.... Hmmm),  Min, Mel for dunno KTV n dinner or sth. End up they say its postponed to tomolo so that Qy can join us. So end up Arte's home today. Later will need to go out in a while to do sth which she's supposed to do tomolo. =p

 

Looked thru Leng's blog... got this meaningful paragraph...

Was telling leng yesterday bt this fren of mine. I ask her how come nowadae she seem less caring to those round her... Her ans was that she's kinda tired of it. Leng oso agrees wit it. well, tink its kinda true. Like nowadaes i dun get as much sweet stuffs fr my frens as i used to. Mayb its coz we are all drained out of our daily lives.... But sometimes I'll tink if it is for some1 that we really care, will we ever feel drained by caring for them?? Or has all our lives just turned cyber?

Well when i say cyber i dun mean the internet 'cyber' definition. i just meant we've turned robotic. coz of our busy lives, we have subconciously written a prog that says, this have happened, we must do this... or we must act like this.

Have we 4gotten that in the 1st place, when we chose to show concern, its coz we care n not a I must kinda thing?? Care n concern is a feeling. It comes from the heart. t shouldnt be something that u can really grow tired of. If ur tired of having the different emotions, ur no better than a zombie. & there are a lot of ways to show concern. from the simplest dropping a simple email, call, a sms, a letter n stuff to really putting effort to meetup n geeting gfts for your friends , all these are just simple things to show care. When Arte give ppl gifts, its coz we really wanna give them. (Ok i admit... sometimes is coz its a since i give A i must give B so will be fair..)

Suddenly remembered that time when UK boi was over to wait to give HS surprise, Arte told him that the nite b4 Leng stayed over n she commented that Arte's too 'zi lian' coz every where's her own pic n she doenst have pics with her frens. It was ony then that she realise that shes lost a couple of pics wit her dearies (except for the 1 on her softboard with Min, Sa n Fang) But then as she was introducing all the little items in her rm, she realise that she could rem most of it. Its fr her dearies... Some of it, Leng cant rem she gave it to Arte... When UK boi was over, Arte did the same thing... But apparantly, that boi cant rem some of them liao...

Many-a-time, the giver will not remember how much they have given. But the acceptor will...
 

 

Ok this just came into my mind out of no-where... 

Leng said yesterday that Helman said that she really needed the extra Shrek ears. I totally agree with that. In fact, I have friends that have very good ears. Truth is that very freq, these optimistic ppl will have lotsa not so optimistic frens round them. & since they are so optimistic, they are very freq the 'sun' to their friends, always showering sunlight to their friends. But sometimes, these ppl they too will be drained off the energy... & who else can they go to find to recharge?? Sometimes, they have already been so drained off n yet they will cont to be drained.... & when they themselves aint feeling so cheery, they will choose to keep things within themselves until they feel well again... Reason?? Simply coz when a very cheerful person turns upset, a lot of ppl will the pinch...

 

Leng got things to add to Arte's 101 gentlemantle acts (which Mr Teo also argued when he was here that some might give the gurl the wrong impression but who cares anyway, Arte's gonna add to it...)

She added...
- be the one who approaches strangers when there's a need to
- behaves the right way when i intro my frens to them
- go recee a place first before we all get lost together in a foreign place
- letting me have the cushioned seat (for her) <- For this, Arte has a different preference (which she wonders how many ppl notices)

n she continues in her entry that

the same actions, done by different guys, might not have the same effects.

This is very very true. Different ppl doin different things will kanna very different rxn fr Arte. But then again, some ppl just dun get the msg. & when they dun do, they start to turn annoying... Damn! If only there was this machine that allows everyone to just read everyone else's mind~~~

In the end, Arte told the UK boi that if he turns up at her void deck at 10 for supper, she'll believe him. The conversation went on till 10 plus... N this UK boi said that he was goin to buy grocery...

10 plus, Arte recieved an sms... "U wan ur supper then open ur door now lo"

Arte went to open the door n went to the staircase. UK boi appeared~ the both of them couldnt stop laffing~~~~

Nxt was HS~~~~

Called HS. Asked her if shes free Arte needs some1 to tok to.... She says to call her back aft shes home.

In the end, ZW came over.... Chat till 11 plus.... HS called. Shes home. Shes says that shes comming over aft bathing.

ZW & Arte decided to driver over to give her a suprise. Parked at the T-junction near her home... Waited... n Waited... Few cars drove out... Few cars drove in... the 2 chatted n cont to keep watch for the 'xiao bai' or her big big family car.

Finally, HS called. shes done bathing. On her way over~ The 2 excited ones actually planned to horn her car when she drives past then aft tat UK boi was supposed to go to open the door n go out aft horning... To prevent HS fr noticing them, Arte moved to the back seat. 1 big big car went past. The 2 horned. Apparantly the car didn noticen went past. ZW wanted to go aft it. Then suddenly, they noticed a white car bhind. Ops* wrong car~~~ Stunned, ZW followed the car~ Arte tried calling HS's mobile. The white car stopped at the T junction  which leads to the main road. The 2 tot shes seen them... ZW stopped the car bside the white car. HS was abt to ans the phone. She lked over~~~ "Now got 2 car... So how??" In the end, the 2 cars went to the 24 hr mac nearby.... till 0400h -  Back home...

Actually when ZW msged Arte asking if shes home she started to suspect sth.... telling Arte that he'll be able to mt her for supper further cfms her theory (aft all, Arte's used a rather similar mtd the last time she came back fr SH) Hee but of coz though her suspicions were rite, shes still very happy coz shes still surprised n happy coz her guesses were rite. 

& guess what, Arte's got another new dreamcatcher to her collection~ Somemore this time its 3-D one~~ Heee

Ok 0530h liao time to oror.... Shall only make this private journ visible only aft tomolo when everyone else noes he's back =p

26 June 07... 2345h. Home.

Events of the day - DUMB ARTE GAVE UP A JOB~~~~

Slept at 5 plus the morn only aft posting the earlier part of the journ which can only be view like today...

Woke up like bt 11 with a headache.

Went interview at 2. Took 186 to queens town then train to Boon Lay. (how come this sounds like goin to NTU...)

Aft tat was 255 to Gul Way.... Alighted. Didn know which dir to take coz Arte 4got to print the map. Chose 1 way.... Suddenly it felt like walking Wai Gao Qiao Bao Shui Qu. Rem tat time Arte was wit Kenny at the Free trade zone on a Sunday (the place is descibed by Arte as 鸟不生蛋的地方) The 2 of them were walking the whole long stretch of road trying to find the IA coy.... walked several hrs b4 that... & were still walking... Suddenly the 2 made a decision to a cab (if any passed by...) Aft much walking, an empty cab really came. We boarded the cab n went the entire stretch several times b4 finding the coy....

This time, Arte decided to do the same thing... If any cab were to come by, Arte would just take it to go the entire stretch to find the coy... Really a cab came.... Arte boarded the cab and told the uncle the location. The uncle was stunned (coz the factory was along that road... just dunno which unit.) Arte just frankly told the uncle that she couldnt find the place.

Less than 5 mins later, the cabbie found 26 and 28 but not 25... The uncle saw 1 gate that didn have the unit... He say that it might be that 1. It was....

Arte couldnt believe what actually happened to her today.

Aft the interview, she actually got offered a job at the spot.

Though it wasnt the initial post she had applied for (which was a Service Engineer), she was offered a Tech Engineer... But as usual, Arte did a very dumb thing. When the director had offered her the post and she had more or less agreed to it (aft asking some qns) she suddenly told the director that she needed sometime to consider coz of the pickup only picks ppl fr Jurong at 7am. It suddenly occured to Arte whether she can be at Jurong on time for the pickup.... Not sure but tink the director got try to make her stay by saying that he used to stay at bishan n can still make it on time for wk so he tink that shldnt be a prob... But stupid Arte shld have said that she really needed sometime to consider.... instead of making it sound like an excuse not to take up the job....

Though they say that they will contact Arte again once the thing is cfm-ed, Arte doubt they will...

But come to tink of it, it might not be wise to take up the job oso coz the transport there is not gonna be cheap. & aft deducting, the pay might not be worth it. Anyway, arte was too stunned by this immediate offer. Somemore its her 1st interview....

But tink by rejecting this, she might not be able to get another job offer that soon liao.... Sob sob... Stupid Arte.... She always does dumb stuff.... But i guess she has learnt her mistake.

Ok finish shortening the stuffs added earlier... Time to go to bed... Nites Nite everybody n everything in the universe~~~~ =p

Few things of the day...

Met Yee, Momo & Nic for job search at IP at bt 10. Combed the floors to find the agencies... Happened to ask for job at a foreign wker employment agency. Kinda reminded me of the incident which i was twice mistaken as a Philipino in Taiwan...

GH joined us for lunch. Aft job search, went down to cityhall to collect GH's lappi aft tat n to Bugis coz Mr Nic wanna go see Domanchi shirts.

Was supposed to mt CH, ZW n Mel for din. But halfway thru they are goin ZW house so cancelled. In the end, received msg fr Mr. CH that they were at Cityhall n Mel's not feeling well so tot can cont with the Din when Arte's back at Bal... Faintz*

 

Got 3 phone calls today for interviews for the nxt 3 days...

Tomolo... 26 June... Jurong Area in the late noon... dunno y so late oso.... Faintz*

the day aft, 27 June 9 am East Area....

Thurs, 28 June, afternoon... Town area.... (This 1 got a lot of forms to fill.... Arte dun like to fill forms one... >_<)

Wah gonna run round the entire Sing~~~~ But the 3 interview oso very gd all arrange nice nice nice.... Kinda wonder how Arte will fare in the interviews....

Pasted a quiz Arte did n was writing all the gentlemantle things that guys do for Arte n her female frens. Suddenly got short circuit...

Lost the quiz liao n dun feel like writing things in detail again... Will just write it in arga-ration.

Was toking to Leng last nite when she stayed over... Today, Arte's gonna write some of the gentlemantle n sweet things that some gentleman will do for Arte's female frens.

These simple things include:
- opening n closing doors for the gurls
- holding lift doors for gurls
- offering to help females carry things when its very heavy
- helping their female frens pour drinks n stir the lemons in lemon tea
- taking order for the gurls (nowadaes guys ether take their own order or they just ask the gurl to take order...)
- getting food for the females during BBQ
- standing in front but putting 1 hand behind for the gurls just in case they need it in crowded places
- letting the gurls walk in the centre (not the back or front) of the gp
- constantly looking back to chk that the gurls bhind were fine in clubs
- letting the gurls sit inside on the buses
- offering to let the gurls board the cab first
- driving their female frens to the staircase / lifts when sending them home
- driving off only when they were sure the gurls were safely in the house
- tinking of 101 stupid jokes / dumb things to cheer their female frens up when they were upset
- pulling out seats for gurls at restaurants
- knowing what type of drinks the gurl likes or dislikes etc etc

I believe that some of these are just simple gestures that a lot of guys today 4get or nv tot of doin but these actions very often makes a gurl feel that the guy is very gentlemantle... & of coz some of the actions comes with some observation. & some guys are so nice that you'll ask them how they know bt certain things that u dun rem mentioning to them... Ans simple. They've always remember to spend a little time in reading thru the blogs.... =p

Actually those are just very very basic stuff that some gentlemans do... Of coz there are other sweeter things that guys have done for her n her other gurl frens n are not mentioned here.... (those are considered to be a more advanced gentlementle actions) Aft tinking things thru, Arte kinda realise how come she n her frens are still single... If they say actions speak louder than words, if the guy frens round these gurls have done things that were so sweet, how can they differentiate those guys from their suitors? Eh so its not that their std's high. The truth's that they really cant differentiate.... Even till now... Is it or issit not?? Is it right or is it wrong??

Ok nuff bt those stuff... Bt today...

Met Min n Ah Sa in the eve. Aft tat went to visit Ted once again....
