Eu doream acest lucru, dar era un drum de 2 ore cu masina de la Laguna la lacul Varful Sagetii. Cand fiica mea a sunat a treia oara, i-am promis ca voi sosi joia viitoare. Joia u r ma toare, dintr -odata timpul s-a racit si a plouat. Dar eu am promis, asa ca am mers acolo. Cand in sfarsit am pasit in casa lui Carolyn si i-am salutat si imbratisat pe ea si nepotii mei am spus " Carolyn, lasa narcisele galbene. Timpul este nefavorabil, sunt nori si ceata, asa ca nu exista nimic in lumea aceasta care sa ma faca sa mai conduc cativa kilometri, cu exceptia ta si a acestor copii". Fiica mea a zambit si, cu mult calm, a spus: "Noi conducem pe vremea asta, mama ". "Ei bine, nu ma duci tu pe mine in strada, pana nu se face timp frumos si, atunci cand voi iesi, o voi face ca sa ma intorc acasa". Am crezut ca am fost destul de convingatoare. "Sper insa ca ma vei duce la garaj, ca sa-mi ridic ma sina mea", a spus ea. "Cat de departe trebuie sa mergem?" "Cateva blocuri." Carolyn a spus; "O sa conduc eu . Eu sunt deprinsa cu asta." Dupa cateva minute, am intrebat-o: "Unde mergem ? Asta nu e drumul spre garaj." "Mergem spre narcisele galbene". Carolyn a zambit . "Carolyn" am spus eu cu asprime in glas "te rog, intoarce". "Stai linistita, mama . Tu nu te vei ierta niciodata daca pierzi aceasta experienta." Dupa aproximativ 20 de minute, am intrat pe o straduta pietruita si am vazut o mica biserica. Mai incolo, pe partea bisericii, am vazut scris cu litere de mana "Gradi na narciselor galbene". Am coborat din masina si am mers in urma lui Carolyn in jos pe carare. Apoi cararea a cotit si, cand am ridicat privirea am ramas muta de uimire. Inaintea mea se afla cea mai minunata imagine. Arata de parca cineva luase un butoi urias de aur si il revarsase peste piscul si versantii muntelui. Florile au fost plantate in maiestuoase vartejuri, minunate fasii si randuri portocaliu inchis, albe, galben ca lamaia, roz- portocaliu, galben ca sofranul si galben ca untul. Fiecare varietate de flori a fost plantata ca un grup, asa ca s-au involburat si au inflorit ca niste rauri cu tonalitati cromatice unice. Erau 5 acri de flori. "Dar cine a facut asta?" am intrebat-o pe Carolyn. "O femeie."- mi-a r aspuns ea. â€žLocuieste pe proprietate. Aceea este casa ei." Carolyn mi-a indicat o casa mica si modesta in mijlocul acelui tinut. Am mers catre casa. Pe un zid am vazut un poster . "Raspunsuri la intrebarile care stiu ca te intereseaza" - era titlul. Primul raspuns era un simplu "50.000 bulbi". Al doilea raspuns era " Cate unul, pus pe rand, de catre o singura femeie". A fost nevoie de doua maini, doua picioare si putin creie r ". Al treilea raspuns era "Am inceput in 1958". Acestea au fost Principiile Narciselor Galbene. Pentru mine, acel moment a fost o experienta care mi-a schimbat viata. M-am gandit la aceasta femeie pe care eu nu am intalnit-o niciodata si care, cu mai mult de 40 de ani in urma , a inceput cu un bulb, in timp - creand propria sa viziune asupra frumusetii si bucuriei si impodobind varful unui munte obscu r . Plantand pe rand cat e un bulb de narcisa, an dupa an, ea a schimbat pentru totdeauna lumea in care traia. A creat ceva nespus de magnific, de frumos, de inspirat. Principiul pe care ni-l arata gradina ei de narcise galbene este unul din cele mai marete principii ale slavirii si evolutiei. Este lectia care ne invata sa inaintam spre scopurile si dorintele noastre, pas cu pas - adesea facand doar un pas mic, de copil - si sa invatam sa iubim ceea ce facem, sa invatam sa folosim acumularea in timp. Cand multiplicam momentele scurte de timp in care producem ceva mic, prin efort zilnic, vom constata ca putem realiza lucruri magnifice. Putem schimba lumea. "Treaba asta ma intristeaza, intr-un fel", am recunoscut eu . "Cate as fi putut eu realiza, daca mi-as fi stabilit un scop minunat acum 35 ori 40 de ani si as fi muncit in toti acesti ani sa-l ating, Â´plantand cat e un singur bulb o dataÂ´. Gandeste-te ce-as fi fost in stare sa realizez!" Fiica mea mi-a spus mesajul acelei zilei in stilul ei direct: "Incepe de maine" a spus ea. "Nu mai are nici un rost sa te gandesti la timpul pierdut. Modul de a face dintr -o "lectie" o bucurie si o cale de evolutie, in loc de un motiv de regret, este sa te intrebi "Cum pot folosi azi ceea ce tocma i am invatat?" Ne convingem pe noi insine ca viata va fi mai frumoasa dupa ce ne vom casatori; vom avea un copil; apoi altul. Apoi suntem frustrati ca nu sunt copiii destul de mari si vom fi mai multumiti atunci cand ei vor creste. Dupa aceea, suntem frustrati ca sunt adolescenti si se poarta ca atare. Suntem siguri ca vom fi fericiti cand ei se vor maturiza.... Ne spunem ca viata noastra va fi completa cand ei se vor casatori; cand vom avea o masina noua; cand vom putea avea o vacanta placuta, sau cand ne vom pensiona. Adevarul este ca nu exista un moment mai bun pentru a fi fericit, de cat cel prezent. Daca nu acum, atunci cand? Viata noastra va fi intotdeauna plina de schimbari. Este cel mai bine sa admiti asta in sinea ta si sa decizi sa fii fericit oricum. Fericirea este calea. Asa ca, bucura-te si pretuieste fiecare moment pe care il ai si pretuieste-l si mai mult pentru ca te bucuri de el impreuna cu cineva apropiat, cineva suficient de special ca sa-ti petreci timpul cu el/ea ..... si aminteste-ti ca timpul nu asteapta pe nimeni. Asa ca INCETEAZA sa ma i astepti..... . - pana masina ori casa este platita - pana iti iei o masina sau casa noua - pana copiii pleaca de acasa - pana iti termini studiile - pana slabesti 10 kg .- - pana te ingrasi cu 10 kg - pana te casatoresti - pana ai copii - pana te pensionezi - pana la vara - pana la primavara - pana la iarna - pana la toamna - pana mori. Nu exista un moment mai bun ca cel de acum, pentru ca sa fii fericit. Fericirea este o calatorie, nu o destinatie. Asa ca munceste ca si cum n-ai avea nevoie de bani, iubeste ca si cum nu ai fost niciodata ranit in dragoste, danseaza ca si cum nimeni nu te-ar vedea. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim lunar year which is celebrated from beginning to end as holy - in fact, many regard it as the holiest time of the Muslim year. The principle outward characteristic of Ramadan is that Muslims are expected to fast all day, every day. Traditionally the times of fast are marked as whenever a white thread can be distinguished from a black thread. Once those threads can no longer told apart, eating is permitted. Fasting during Ramadan is considered one of the Five Pillars, meaning it is one of the five most basic beliefs/acts which a Muslim has to do. However, it's not accurate to say that everyone simply goes without food or water - there are quite a few rules which apply to it. For one thing, a Muslim must consciously formulate the intention to fast as part of a rite. This is to prevent fasting from becoming an empty symbol which people don't give much thought to. The full formulation reads: "to fast tomorrow to acquit my duty towards God of fasting Ramadan this year." <a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc131/emiliadina/Ramadan/ramadan.gif" border="0" alt="Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket"></a> Origins It is possible that the obligation to fast during Ramadan comes from early injunction to fast on Ashura, the 10th day of the month of Muharram, which may have once been identical with the Jewish observance of the Day of Atonement. This obligation, however, was ended by the command to fast during Ramadan instead in the Quran verse 2:184. The derivation of the name Ramadan is in some dispute. Many believe that it comes from the Arabic ramad, which means scorching, and is thus a reference to the idea that the fast "scorches" away human sins. Others argue that is simply means "high summer" and has no reference to the act of fasting. They are: Battle of Badr: This was a key battle in the year 625 CE and which occurred on the 17th of Ramadan Retaking of Mecca: On the 19th of Ramadan in the year 630 CE it is believed that Muhammad manage to return and retake the city of Mecca from his opponents. Deaths: A number of important deaths occurred during the month of Ramadan: Muhammad's first wife, Khadija (10th) and both Ali and the eight Shiite Imam, Ali Reza (21st). Births: A number of important births also occurred during the month of Ramadan: Hussein (6th), who was later martyred and Ali (22nd). Laylat al-Qadr: This literally means "the night of power," and is celebrated on one of the last ten days during the month of Ramadan, but always on an odd numbered day. Tradition holds that on this night, the prayers of a sincere and devout Muslim are sure to be answered because it is believed to be the night when the Quran was first revealed to Muhammad. Many Muslims also believe that, on this night, the tree of Paradise is shaken and the names of all those who will die in the coming year can be found on the fallen leaves. Eid al Fitr: On this day a large feast is celebrated on the breaking of the fast of Ramadan, and is held on the first day of Shawwal, right after the month of Ramadan. Also called "Eid," on this day many elaborate dishes are served at banquet-like gatherings. The youngest are not expected to fast, but as they get older they gradually begin fasting for more and more of the day until they are able to go the entire day without food or water without endangering one's health. Although travelers and menstruating women can be exempted from fasting, they are nevertheless expected to make up the same number of missed days some time later in the year after Ramadan. Thus, they fast the same number of days as everyone else, but not at the same time. Feeding thirty poor people each day is a technical excuse for avoiding the fast which everyone must observe, but it is rare for a rich person to actually use this exemption. It would be looked up very, very badly by the rest of the community and the rich person would probably lose much too much respect for it to be worthwhile.
