a poem for yo u
You put yourself in harm’s way,
Though you might die, that we might live,
The Good Samaritan for pay,
Asked often for what few would give.
Though you might die that we might live,
You make a conscious choice to be
Asked often for what few would give,
And to remain while others flee.
You make a conscious choice to be
The calm, well-trained professional,
And to remain while others flee,
To face the fear within us all.
The calm, well-trained professional,
The Good Samaritan for pay:
To face the fear within us all,
You put yourself in harm’s way.

RAIN, RAIN
Every time the rain falls down from the sky,
a still voice seems to say to me,
“Son, there is a desperate soul out there,
who is in need of my love and care.
Will you be my hands and feet,
and help gather in the harvest?”
When the rain stops after that,
I can still hear the voice,
silently echoing away in my mind.
But I replied to the voice, saying,
“I am but a small weakling,
among millions of souls out there?”
And I shiver at the thought of it.
Then the voice would continue, saying,
this time in a louder tone,
“Just lean on me and trust in me,
and I will give you what you need.
My grace is sufficient for you,
I will be with you all the way,
to help you win souls for me.”
Finally, when the sun shines again,
I know that the time has come,
for the long harvesting work to begin.
My inner being is filled with joy and peace,
for I have been given the opportunity and honour,
to glorify the Kingdom of Heaven.
sad Poem
I went to a party, Mom, I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom, so I drank soda instead.
I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom, even though the others said I should.
I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending, Mom, as everyone is driving out of site.
As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, so reponsible and sweet.
I started to drive away, Mom, but as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn't see me, Mom, and hit me like a load.
As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say,
The other guy is drunk,Mom, and now I'm the one who will pay.
I'm lying here dying, Mom... I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mom, and most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom, I'll die in a short time.
I just wanted to tell you, Mom I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom. The others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank and I will die.
Why do people drink, Mom? It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, and I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying and all he can do is stare.
Tell my brother not to cry, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave
Someone should have told him, Mom, not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mom. I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom. When I needed you ,you were always there.
I have one last question, Mom, before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive, so why am I the one to die?
Testimony
In my moments of woe
Trapped in the waves of grief
I cried out for Help only to
Hear Your Word say "Trust Him"
How long my Lord I cried,
How long, pagans are in merry,
Your loved ones are in despair,
Is it because of my iniquities?
Or my past sins?
Filled with sorrow, I looked myself
In the mirror of your awesome word,
There I saw a trembling sinner,
Clothed in white in the blood of the Lamb
There I heard my Lord say,
"Be ye healed, Thy sins are forgiven, and sin no more",
"Be ye holy because I am holy"
Then, I saw some stains of sin,
still hidden in my loathsome heart,
I hurried myself to confess to Thee,
only to hear Thee say "Thy sins are forgiven"
Then I prayed for the heart of Christ,
That longs for Him and obeys His tests,
That molds my heart like His heart,
That makes me love Him with all my soul
And makes me trust Him more and more.
Then I found the life of mine victorious in Christ filled with joy,
Tasting His love in every test, growing in faith with every step,
Though I wailed at the time of test, it made me trust Him even more
And made me say "He is faithful"
I'm sitting here filled with wonder
At the amazing things you do
How the waters stay in the oceans
And the vast beauty of the view
How the stars are hung in the sky
Within them is written your word
How we are the following sheep
And you are the only Shepherd
How the sky is painted with color
Bursts of orange in the sunset glow
How much knowledge it took to make
And how little us humans know
How intricately you planned it
There was nothing you left unthought
From the delicacy of a baby
To all the sins of ours you bought
There's no other love that's out there
As deep and as faithful and true
No other comfort to be found
Because nothing compares to you
Nothing compares to your miracles
Or the listening time you spend
How you always take good care of us
And our broken hearts that you mend
To us, our problems like mountains
To you, they're no problem at all
You're ever so watchful and there
To help catch us, when we do fall
I'm just sitting here filled with wonder
At the awesome things that you do
At being our Lord and Savior
Because nothing compares to You!
hristian Poem
Sometimes I ask the question,
"My Lord, is this your will?"
It's then I hear you answer me,
"My Precious Child...be still."
Sometimes I feel frustrated,
cause I think I know what's best.
It's then I hear you say to me,
"My Busy Child...just rest!"
Sometimes I feel so lonely and
I think I'd like a mate.
Your still small voice gets oh
so clear and says,
"My Child...please wait!"
"I know the plans I have for you,
the wondrous things you'll see;
If you can just be patient, Child,
and put your trust in me.
I've plans to draw you closer.
I've plans to help you grow.
There's much I do you cannot
see and much you do not know.
But know this, Child...I LOVE YOU.
You are Precious unto Me.
Before I formed you in the womb,
I planned your destiny. I've
something very special
I hope for you to learn.
The gifts I wish to give to you
are gifts you cannot earn.
They come without a price tag,
but not without a cost; at Calvary,
I gave My Son, so You would not be lost.
Rest Child, and do not grow weary
of doing what is good.
I promise I'll come back for you
just like I said I would.
Your name is written on my palm,
I never could forget; Therefore,
do not be discouraged when my answer is...
"Not Yet!"
y Child, Allow Me Your Time
Allow me your time
To show you I Care
For in this time You’ll know
I Am, always there
We may not be the same
We may not always agree
My Child, Allow me your time
I’ll show you
These differences
Are not important to me
Some may say
I see through "stained- glassed eyes"
My Child, Allow me your time
And You’ll see
Abstract as I seem
I live not in a disguise
Some have said
How does he hear my unspoken words
How does he see my silent tears
My Child, Allow me your time
And You’ll Know
Within you, I am
Without Hesitation or Fear
My Child
Earth is now your home
Live it with love
Allow Yourself The Time
I'll Guide You

Heaven
IS HEAVEN IN THE YELLOW PAGES?
Mommy went to Heaven,
but I need her here today.
My tummy hurts and I fell down.
I need her right away.
Operator, can you tell me
How to find her in this book?
Is heaven in the yellow part?
I don't know where to look.
I think my daddy needs her, too;
At night I hear him cry.
I hear him call her name sometimes,
but I really don't know why.
Someone hit her car, he says.
It fell in the river and sunk.
Someone hit her car,
and daddy calls him a drunk.
Why, operator?
Why did he drink and drive?
If he had not done it,
My mama would be alive.
Maybe if I call her,
she will hurry home to me.
Is Heaven very far away?
Is it across the sea?
She's been gone a long, long time.
She needs to come home now!
I really need to reach her,
but I simply don't know how.
Help me find the number, please.
Is it listed under "Heaven?"
I can't read these big, big words.
I am only seven.
I'm sorry, operator,
I didn't mean to make you cry,
Is your tummy hurting, too?
Or is there something in your eye?
Maybe I should call my church,
Maybe they will know.
Mommy said when we need help
that's where we should go.
I found the number to my church
and tacked it on the wall.
Thank you, operator,
I'll give them a call.
