Ok Oakridge is very small, 3200 people and it is in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range of Oregon. We are surrounded by many inactive volcanoes, which are usually covered with snow the year around. We have many rivers and lakes here, including the 2nd clearest lake in the world, Waldo Lake, so clear and pure you can drink from it. We are becoming the Mountain Biking Capital of the west, if not the whole US, what with thousands of miles of well maintained Mountain Biking trails around here. We have a elementary school and a combined middle school/high school and our graduation rate is very high, and a good percentage go to college. We are becoming very ethnically diverse here with many nationalties and races moving in. It is a former sawmill town, but the forests no longer are being cut down so the mill closed leaving us to diverisfy our local economy, along the lines of the highway, the forests and the railroad....Richard

i'm not so rich like you,maybe i'm not a good seeker.i never seen a river before,there's only endless sea around here,well it's cool in winter but it's crowded in summer.....and i go to school early in the morning,there are fewer cars on the road,the air is fresh, walking people with dogs is here and there...peaceful

Yes, Emily sounds like a nice place when its not as many people around. As to me bing rich, I'm not, not all Americans sre rich. I live in a mobile home that is 12 ft wide by 60 ft long and had 2 bedrooms. It's on permanent blocks in a mobile home park with 30 other mobiles. We have a lot of trafiic going by during the day here, but it slows a lot at night, and the temperature cools off a lot at night so its good sleeping time. I live alone as my wife and I separated 7 years ago and she lives in her own apartment. I have a son and a daughter who do not live here.

my 'rich' doesn't mean how much money you have,but it means you enjoy a lot,you have better environment,beautiful scenery,so much experiences, and so many other valuable things that i cannot imagine.
you get clear river,you live alone so i guess you get good health,you have mountain biking competition which i've never been a part of,it must be exciting!
In this way,you really are a rich people,don't you think so?

Yes Emily, I really am "rich" in that sense, the most of my wealth is in the amount of love I have for my friends and God. And you are so right I do live in a beautiful environment, although I dont get to enjoy it as much as I would like, as I had polio when I was 14 years old. I worked standing on my feet mostly for 50 years, so my right leg is tired, although I still walk on it daily, my long distance walking and biking days are over. Now I stay home and take care of my place and enjoy my friends online....Love....Richard

sometimes i feel heavy.just like a world is on my shoulder,i lay too much pressure on myself and i hope if i have a chance,i would visit my friends i met on line,just go out to meet all kinds of people and enjoy my life.
i know there is truth and lies on line but i happen to believe them.that's a little silly really.

Yes Emily I have met 2 people in person that I know online.
The first person was 8 years ago, a woman from Texas. I met her online and we talked for a year before we decided to live together. We met in Texas and It was love at first sight. We lived together for 5 wonderful years, but she is a musician and she began smoking marijuana so we argued about that and I left and returned to Oregon, where I have been for the last 2 years. During that 2 year period I had met another woman online who lived here in The Pacific Northwest, I went and visited with her for a month, but she was so hard to get along with so on Christmas Day 2005 I left and returned home. And yes I would really love to meet my best friends from online, anytime....Love....Richard PS I hope you decide to go to College, your english is understandable and you seem very smart Love... yes College is always the goal. Keep you eye on that prize and do anything you can to get there and then succeed when you are there. And my fervent wish is to meet you someday.
