Has anyone been inside the head of a prisoner?

After watching Dead Man Walking, after hours of contemplation, after hours of a puffy face, I really sat down and thought, typical of me to watch the movie, and dissect it into its individual components, and analyze. But really, frankly speaking, I was wondering what it might've been like for Helen Prejean, a nun, chaste, and to be face to face with a man like Matthew Poncelet, a rapist, a murderer. Though when I do look at it from a more humane point of view, he was mislead, understandable, but that does not nullify his crimes, now, does it?

Thousands of people around the world commit crimes, some are overlooked, and some overly publicized. For example, the 26/11 case, where the terrorist Ajmal Qasab is taken into custody for the moment, and the verdict is still yet to pass. It almost seems like a split second, when he starts accusing Pakistani masterminds, and the next thing you know, an Indian is also involved in it. He says he's not afraid of dying, but as far as I'm concerned, I think that he fears fear itself. God may not be on your side then, committing henious crimes, and getting away with it. For with a death sentence, everyday exudes fear, fear of the fact that there are only a limited number of hours, a stipulated time limit within which death will surely approach, this is in fact, illustrated in Matthew Poncelet's case.

In those final hours, in those dying moments, when Time ever flies on swift wings, it brings one to the realization that peace, will not be found in death, until the truth be told. Here, I think, comes Sister Helen's role, the confidant. Maybe it will be the same case in our little terrorist case, just don't know until the last moment.

But then again, what about those minimal cases which are overlooked, what about the little girl who was gang raped? What about the little girl who was shot by her 4 year old brother? What about the baby who was shot by militants? How can we overlook these cases, if we call ourselves as human?

Speechless? I know.

Not when justice could've been dealt, not when responsibility could've been shouldered properly, and these people would still be living today.

Does it feel wrong now? Do those tears flow now? Does the heart ache now?

Yes, yes, and yes, but also with the guilt that these crimes COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED, right?

Search your souls, scrape at every sense of justice that your possess.

Your brain will reply, your heart will reply.

JUSTICE COULD HAVE BEEN SERVED, IN EVERY SENSE, WEIGHTED BY ITS EVERY OUNCE.

Think about it......

Love,

Amrutha

Dear Aunt Lakshmi,

I hope you're doing better in the hospital today, after last night's shock.I sincerely hope with all my heart that you will be alright.I wanted to talk to you about a serious issue that's been screaming to be thrown out in words, but I didn't have enough pluck to talk to you.

It takes me a lot to say this, but I have to talk to you about the volatile issue of your son's actions.I can understand your pain, dear aunt,I know how much it must hurt to get beaten by your own son,the pride of your life. But watching you get beaten like that,it ...

To the Indians,

Namaste, and my warm greetings to all of you.I hope you are well.I wish to talk to all of you, of course, keeping the Bangaloreans in mind.I was in the car with my father yesterday, and I happened to come across a particular signal in Bangalore.I don't really remember the name of the road, but I definitely remember the situation right near the signal. We all know that traffic policemen and beggars are abundant around almost every signal in Bangalore, poverty has struck India and pulled her down, but that is not what I wanted to talk ...
