"In Love and Logic"

Logic and Love were engaged in intense conversation one day
You see Love was emotionally tied up and searching for refuge, in dismay

This is what Logic had to say:

“Love, as usual you wear your heart on your shoulder; you shouldn’t let your
Emotions get in the way.”
With this said, Love replied, “I don’t know how you do it but Love is Love,
And I can’t help it when my feelings take full reign.”
“You see… Love is like meeting your soul mate for the first time,
Staring into their eyes and knowing this is the person
Withwhom you want to spend the rest of your life.”
Or
“Observing your newborn child and seeing them smile
For the first time.”
And Logic questioned saying, “”But what about the heartache,
The consequences when Love goes bad…the pain?”
“Well…” Love said, “Like life, Love without pain and lessons to learn
Would be in vain.”
“Love is your inner voice or God, letting you know when
Things get to be too much to bear, that ‘everything is everything’
And all will be Ok.”
“When two people choose each other and with eyes wide open,
Face each other; Kinda like a union, when souls role play.”

Logic responded with:

“What about Love without trust, faith and honesty?”
Again Love replied, “They are all interrelated,
You can’t have true Love without all three.”
With not much more to say in defense,
Logic kept quiet because all in all,
What Love said made
Perfect Sense.

PS Get it?! What love said made perfect sense (logic).  Love Freely Y'all.  Be a Soul Rebel (be open to receive love if offered, but mostly be the one to offer love whether it is needed or not).  ONE LOVE!

It is the first day of the year as I reserve a moment of silence and deep felt sympathy for those who have perished, been injured or lost a loved one in Thailand's, India's, Indonesia's and Sri Lanka's Tsunami Disaster. I know that alot of us have been desensitized when such events take place b/c we are so accustomed of seeing disasters (including wars) being reported on TV. It's almost as if you are watching a movie because it looks so unreal (at least until you see all the sufferingf). I have never witnessed a natural disaster of such magnitude in my life and was deeply saddened to see all the human suffering in the faces of all the ppl (especially the children who have lost entire families). I know some of us who have been desensitized only react in said manner do it b/c it has not ocurred to us (example 911 event). I also know that many of us are making huge strides and efforts to support and help those that have been victimized by this terrible incident (I commend you). Everyday I imagine what would have happened if it had hit the place I call home. Think....Every year there is at least one big catastrophe that take place (whether natural or not) where massive amounts of ppl die. Almost as if the earth is cleansing itself and in the process ppl have to die. Afterthought... Makes you think about how much damage we have done to the place we call Mother Earth....What are we leaving behind for future generations? Are we leaving anything? Think about it.

PS I could go on and on about the different ways in which we hurt the Earth but i would be here all day. Ppl do your research or take time out to reflect on all the luxuries you are afforded everyday and then think about other countries where something as simple as clean water, food and shelter are the most difficult things to come by. This is a new year....remember we are all connected....make a difference. It could be as simple as planting a tree, buying a homeless person a meal or adopting a child in need in a third world country. Make a difference because you can.....because we all can.
