We tumbled to the bed

They were full of expression

As we tugged and tore

And craved for much more.

As our love for each other

Continued at a steady pace

Millions of teddy bears,

All different shapes and sizes

Stuffed in the back of my closet

Like cheap carnival prizes.

These teddy bears,

The only memories left,

Are from broken relationships

And boys with hands and words so deft.

These teddy bears

Used to be gifts of love and laughter

But as time progressed they turned into something

A little less than happily ever after.

What I’ve always wanted

Was never a bunch of teddy bears

But instead a man of his word

Who wont cheat, lie and who always cares.

I want a man that will always be there

Who will touch my neck, kiss my lips and hold my hand

A man who will tell me that I’m the one

And who will always understand.

I want a man who will treat me like his princess

Someone who I know I’ll be able to trust

I want a man who’ll be faithful to me

Someone who I’ll always lust.

Most girls in life,

Want a man with money, aspiring goals and a dream

A man who will spoil and pamper them

And give them special things that gleam.

But what I want from my man

Is not about money or anything it can buy

All I want is a man

Who won’t purposely make me cry.

I want a teddy bear that I can hold at night

A teddy bear that is life size

A teddy bear with a warm heart and a big smile

And most importantly one that only I can win as a carnival prize.
