The problems are partly about Zorpia and partly about other sites, and I guess that everybody here got similar troubles too. So, what is happening is.....  When we want to post a photo in a journal, in a comment, or other, the chances are two: -- we can take the picture from an album in Zorpia -- or from another source in the net. -- o -- If we take the picture from our albums in Zorpia, we should not have pictures that can present copyright infringements ( this means that we can only upload a picture if... we took it, if we bought its copyright, or if the person who took it gave us the permission to publish it ). This is clearly a huge limitation to what we can upload because, for example, we should not upload any anime or movie picture ( yes, many people are doing it. They are all not respecting the TOS. Why is Zorpia not deleting their pictures? I have no idea. But any moment, if they wanted, they could delete them ). Anyway...  let's suppose we are going to post pictures that we took by ourselves. Even doing this, it happens, I don't know why, that sometimes the pictures don't appear. Just now I have some pictures that I uploaded in 2-3 albums in Zorpia. The album appears correctly, but the photos don't appear in the journals. No, it is not my mistake. Before they appeared in the journals too. But now they don't. It happened many other times. Every time I informed Support Zorpia. They correctly solved the problem. But it is still happening in one or another album.....  and it should not.-- o -- The second problem is not about Zorpia at all. It is about photos posted in other sites. There are cases that we may need to use photos copyrighted by other people. For example, if we want to write a journal about race cars, we may not be able to have any photo took by ourselves. But at the same time, posting no picture makes the journal very poor and, in some cases, it makes completely impossible explaining something. We will have to link them from some site. And.....  these sites may suddenly delete the photos or change the location, making them disappear from our journal.Some people turn around the problem uploading the photos in sites like Photobucket, but these sites, depending on the ..... "feeling of the moment" may delete the pictures as well.( It may look funny saying "feeling of the moment", but it is true. Going in those sites it is possible to find any kind of photos. If they really had to stick at their own rules, they should delete almost 90% of the photos uploaded by their members. Instead only a small part of them is deleted. The people could upload some song and then post it in their page in Zorpia or others sites. The music player was a bit heavy when the page downloaded, but it could be accepted considering that it was free.Then they suddenly started to behave weird.The first problem was ( like I already wrote in another journal ) about songs that in the beginning were accepted in their full lenght and only after reduced to 30 seconds playing. This is very bad because Imeem can detect from the beginning if a song can be published or if it has copyright problems. So, if they accepted it, they had not to refuse it after, without even a short message for the users.The things went gradually worse. Now it seems that no playlist can be played fully. All the songs of my page, for example, were reduced to 30 seconds, even the songs that the singers allow to use freely.But the funniest thing happened today, when I found that even the songs sung by my girlfriend were reduced to 30 seconds playing. I tried to upload some musics that I made ( ATTENTION: made 100% by myself ) and.........  they were 30 seconds playing too. I understood that the service was not serious anymore, or better that it was not a service, and I deleted the account. There is too big difference and they know it well. Some regions of Thailand have the good luck to have nice beaches and they can easily get money from the international tourism. The area around Bangkok is famous as touristic place and also has a large concentration of industries. But Isaan's and other provinces are not so lucky. The local people can do really nothing to change the situation in short time if the government doesn't give enough support. The new Prime Minister has to show what he is able to do. Criticizing Thaksin and arresting the leaders of the protest is not enough. The real problems are staying. By the way, about Thaksin, these are the last news from Bangkok Post :  <h2>Thaksin has Nicaraguan passport</h2>  The Nicaraguan government anounced it has made fugutive former premier Thaksin Shinawatra a "special ambassador" and issued him a diplomatic passport. The announcement was made after the Thai government said on Wednesday it had revoked his ordinary passport because he incited the Saturday rioting which forced the cancellation of the weekend Asean Summit in Pattaya. Nicaragua said in a statement on Wednesday that Thaksin had been appointed an "ambassador on a special mission" so he could help attract investment to the poor Central American country, reports said. Ha! Ha! When people has money, they can even buy a passport. It is so bad, especially because they are not his own money. Anyway I hope that this will help to keep him finally out of further influence in Thai domestic business. He is not Thai anymore. Good luck in your new country, Mr. Thaksin. The situation is going worse and worse. Pro and anti government groups are alternating doing very stupid actions like stopping the normal activities in the airports before, then blocking some roads, irrupting in the Asian summit. They all talk of democracy and many other nice things but they are only creating problems to the normal people and destroying Thai economy. Both sides only deserve to be blamed. Yellow-shirts and red-shirts : is any of you smart? Then don't do such stupid things in a so difficult moment. You all know how the economy of Thailand depends on tourism. What do you think that your actions are doing? Just scaring away the tourists. You say to fight against corruption and for democracy, but your country is losing a lot of money everyday because of what you are doing. And all the losses of Thailand will affect everybody in the country. If you have few money, tomorrow you will have even less. It doesn't matter who you will put as top of your government, because you all are already losing.  If you really care of yourself and of the freedom of Thailand, you should not listen to people who ask you to do things like we all saw this period. Don't you understand that they all fight only for their own power? Just put one on the top of your government, yellow or red that he can be, and oblige him to do his job. Have a look at this : "Tourism Council of Thailand predicted that the country would lose at least 200 billion baht ($5.6 billion) as foreign tourists shunned the country". "Some tourists want out quickly for fear that protesters may go on to block the airport like last year. Incoming tourists are questioning security and canceling bookings". Are you proud??? This is your "success". Somebody wants back Thaksin Shinawatra or his "nice" mates. HOW do you think he went to England, living as a prince and HOW could he buy a football team, Manchester City? With his own money? No, with the money he stole from your pockets. And now they are giving few money here and there to organize things like those we saw in the last days. And the opposite side? Not better. How can people think to block the airports??? There is no danger at all. Nobody is going to hurt you or to ruin your holiday. All countries have protesters and anti-government groups, so it is not surprising that Thailand has too. Thai people are not violent, especially with foreigners : nobody will be even touched. The good news are from Zorpia. I saw that they managed to solve all the problems in Zorpia 2. As somebody probably noticed, I was still one of the few active members still using Zorpia 1. The reason was that passing to Zorpia 2, some old journals and messages in the guestbook didn't appear correctly. Now everything seems ok, so I'm changing too. And.....  congratulations to the Zorpia staff! The bad news are from Imeem. I use Imeem for my playlist. When Imeem has not the right to keep playing a song, they cut it to 30 seconds lenght. I don't want to have "pieces of songs" instead of a full playing, so I cared to choose only songs that Imeem accepted completely. Instead now I found that, after months that the songs were playing correctly, they have been reduced to 30 seconds lenght. And all this without any message. It is not a nice behavious, because when we upload a songs, Imeem immediately check it, and the song is cut that moment, not after months. Anyway, I will delete all the shortened songs.It is a pity that these things happen because, playing the songs in our pages, is an advantage for the artist. Many people have the chance to listen and, if they like them, they may decide to buy the CD. I will instead start posting on my own guestbook photos or short talks.The reason of this choice is that I get two places for posting subjects that I want to show, and I can use the journals for things that I want to keep more time on the page.When we post a journal, the previous journals go down and down, until they disappear from the page. Yes, they don't get deleted, but they don't stay anymore on the front of the page. Who visit our page must select to view all journals to read them. It is a big change, considering that I have it from long time. The change will not be in the red circle with the blue dragon, but in the color and style of the words used below it.I was looking for something original for writing the title of my main page, but I could not find anything that could fit the style used for the logo and at the same time giving the feeling of center/heart of my pages. I could not use the same style of the logo because it was someway too simple, so I decided to operate a more radical change.
