( Ghost )

Written and directed by Paul Spurrier, with Suangporn Jaturaphut as Dau and Opal as Pookie.

P is the story of Dau, a Thai girl living in a village near the Cambodian border with her grandmother, a "mair mot" ( witch ). When her grandmother got sick, Dau is obliged to move to Bangkok and start working in a go go bar. Thanks to the suggestions of her friend Pookie and the magical arts lernt from her grandmother, she succeeded to enchant men and attract many clients. This also attract the resentment of other girls on whom she takes revenge. But the use of spells has also a double face, that will end for attracting on her evil forces that will tear her world apart.

The title of the movie stands for the Thai word "pee" = "ghost"

P represents the first Thai movie directed by a foreigner, and it received worldwide appreciation in the movie festivals where it was shown. A great movie for who wants to have a view of Asian ghosts and magic traditions.
