It was the lonely place
The only place
Though the man was not alone

It felt so cold to him
So very old to him
And he knew that he must groan

It was the depth of dark
The total lack of lark
Whose song he had ne'er known

It felt the heat from him
And heard the pain within
That came from every struggling bone

It began to suck him down
Knowing he would ne'er be found
But meet others it had also heard to moan

It was the quicksand that he had met
A lonely place for sure, but yet
There was to be some company underground

NICE POEM DAVE. BUT THE MSGE IS SAD.

WE KNOW ALL OF US WILL ALL DIE SOON.
AND OUR DEATH WILL COME LIKE A THIEF IN THE NIGHT.
WE DON'T KNOW WHEN.
ALL OF US WILL DIE IN DIFFERENT WAYS.
SOME WILL DIE OF SICKNESS, OTHERS BY ACCIDENT,

HOW I WISH I WILL DIE WITH SMILE ON MY LIPS
THAN DIE IN A QUICKSAND...

Why so blue, well Lena, this poem was on a less than jolly topic, but you can find a great many happier poems here on my journal pages - I write on many themes so do look through and enjoy some of the lighthearted ones too.

Best wishes

Dave
