I duno what makes me write the journal today. Its not because of the fact that I was pissed off by my new colleagues, rather something that happen when I was about to be on my way home. Something which brings out the more human nature in me? Should I say that? coz all along I feel that I am a robot at work.

Anyway, I was waiting for one of my colleague, a Malaysian (from Sarawak) to catch a bus back together. So after getting earful of ridiculous, non-useful nagging/repriming from my new collagues upstairs, I decide to go down to my former department to wait for my colleage. (shalln't waste my time on non meaningful events.) 

(For all to know: I just got transfered to a new dept juz last monday). Anyway, was chatting with him, when I found out that he would be heading to the airport. (our workplace is just behind the airport, but there is no public transport to take us there, rather we have to rely on privately run coaches.)

Anyway he told me he will be on leave tmr and is going to get a ticket back to Sarawak. Then the bomb hit me hard... he told me his grandmother had just passed away earlier in the afternoon. Could tell from the expression on his face that he is rather closed to his granny.

So I decided to go along with him. Took a coach down to the airport, thats where my frustration sets in (yet again? no... this time is for more meaningful purpose) We were scrumbling up and down the airport like headless chickens trying to find the next flight out of Singapore to Kuching (capital of Sarawak)

I mean... comeon I work in the airport dealing with freight bookings, yet such a simple destination I could not think of any flights out from Singapore. So ashame of myself... I was suppose to let my creativity take control, flying to another airport connecting to a even earlier flight reaching Kuching.

Our efforts are also hampered by the fact its  the sch holidays and most flights out are fully booked. So there wasn't much choice for him to stick to the next earliest flight out from Singapore which is the next day noon.

Very displease with myself... I am working in the airline industry yet could not come out with any flights plan at the most urgent time.

For you readers, you may wonder why I go all out to help. I guess I could put myself in his shoes, working alone in a foreign country, renting a room and living simple and earning the salary just to send back to his parents over in Sarawak.

So in times of emergency like this I know how terrible one could feel. Anyway he is the guy whom I really sympathises with. My blood would boil everytime I recall the incident about his supervisor (the one sitting next to him) rejecting his leave application back to Malaysia during this year's chinese new year. It was lucky for me not to witness the whole incident myself as I have not join the company then, if not I would really mark that person down. (by the way, I heard the reason the supervisor gave for rejecting the application is because there is too much work load... noone to cover up for him)

I mean comeon, u got to treat everyone equally, life is not easy for someone working alone in a foreign country and is it really too much to grant his small request of  visiting his family just this once.. every year? 

Its really sad to see such selfish people exist and in actual fact yes there are. Be nice to all around you whether be it they are of fortunate or less fortunate than yourself. Be humble, do not do things to others whom u dun like others doing it to you. The less fortunate DO NOT need your sympathy nor pity all they need is your true friendship (if yours is really worth it)
