Wow, I can't believe that Christmas 2006 came so fast. It seems that we just celebrated Christmas 2005. The kids had a great Christmas, although the week leading up to Christmas and the two days after Christmas were not so good. Elizabeth had her 1st eye appointment to check to make sure there is no inflamation in her eyes. She did very well for the appointment and she passed with flying colors so now we will go back in a few months to have them checked again unless she shows any signs of eye sensitivity to light before then. Timothy woke up with a fever the same day. That was fun trying to take all three kids to the eye doctor with one of them running 103.7 temp. He ran a fever for two days and then his temp was normal. He is still congested which is no fun. I did not get much sleep Christmas Eve due to the fact that he was having problems sleeping at Nana and Papa's. Then Tuesday Heidi woke up with a fever and Elizabeth was running a low grade fever as well. So I did not get much sleep last night since they did not feel good and Heidi's fever spiked again during the night and was about 104. Praise God her fever has finally broken with medication and she is feeling much better. It is nice to see her playing again and not just wanting me to hold her. I knew she was feeling bad yesterday when she was wanting be to carry her in the sling. Well, I am faced with things that have been stacking up since everyone has been sick. I don't know when I am ever going to get caught up on the laundry and the house work. Although, we were able to get the book shelves from my parents put together and we got all of the boxes of books finally put away and the boxes out of the house. I will try to post some pics from Christmas when I have more time. Must get things done while I still have a few more quiet minutes.

Well, Elizabeth went back to the rheumatologist on Monday and he went ahead and diagnosed her with JRA (juvenile rheumatoid arithritis). He said that we will be getting to know one another as Elizabeth gets older. He said it will be fun to watch the girls turn into teenagers. So we are in for the long haul with Elizabeth. At this point he thinks that she just has one joint affected which is the better type to have. We will just have to wait and see if any other joints are being affected. He has seen kids come in with one joint affected and then more ...

This morning E was carrying a kid size chair into the living room, something she use to ask help for, and asked her sister to watch her. "Sissy, watch me. I can carry it all by myself. My wrists aren't killing me." I guess the medication is working. Then later today at lunch I was filling the girls cups with milk and Timothy kept trying to pull the lid of their cup into his mouth. I don't think that he was trying to get anything from it as much as he just wanted to chew on the lid. Anyway, I told him that he was too young to have cows milk he ...

Well, yesterday was a busy day for the kids and I. We started our day by going to the dentist. This was the girls first time to be seen by the dentist. Heidi did a better job than Elizabeth did. H got her teeth cleaned a little and brushed, all E had done was just getting her teeth counted. The dentist said that all three of us girls had good looking teeth. I hope that the girls stay that way. T was told when he started to fuss that the dentist was not going to look at him since he does not have any teeth yet. Little did I know at the time that he did ...

As we are getting ready for playgroup today Heidi and Elizabeth both needed to go to the bathroom. Heidi was the first one to go and I heard her tell E that daddy cat needed to come smell. So E happily skips (in her own way) down the hall to get daddy cat. I asked her what daddy cat needed to smell and she looks up at me and says poops. She skips back down the hall and then I hear the girls saying eeww, sniff sniff, eeww. I then go down to see what is going on. Heidi is sitting on the toliet and the cats are sitting on a stool in the other part of the ...
