Why can't I stop thinking about you? Not a minute goes by without a thought of you... Something you said, a look you gave me, your smile, your eyes. Sometimes I think about how much I miss you. Sometimes I wish I could see you just one more time. Sometimes I hope that somehow I'll run into you so I can pretend that I've moved on... Even though I haven't. I'm in love with someone I never see. It's silly isn't it? How can I be in love with you if I hardly knew you? I wish I knew the answer. But I do. I love you and not seeing you is slowly killing me. I just want to talk one more time. I need to hear your voice, your laugh. I need you to kiss me one more time. To cup my face in your hands one more time. I'm not asking for much. I just want closure because I feel like there wasn't any between us. Of course I'd rather there not be any closure. I'd rather hear you say that you're in love with me too and that you miss me and that you think of me and want to be with me. I'd rather have you kiss me over and over. I'd rather snuggle in your arms and have you kiss my shoulders as we say goodnight. I'd rather you be the last person I see at night and the first person I see in the morning. I'd rather grow old with you and raise a family with you instead of sitting here, writing this, on my couch late at night. |
