My secret

I have a secret I cant tell
and only my heart knows it so well
it makes me feel as I can fly
it makes me laugh instead of cry
and nobody knows it but me

I have a secret deep inside
the one that makes me smile so wide
I keep it deep inside my heart
and with this secret I can't part
and only I can see

This secret is so dear to me
a precious gift that all envy
it burns away inside my soul
and no one else will ever know
I hold it close inside

I keep this treasure selfishly
in places only i can see
and keep it safe inside my soul
to shout this secret is my goal
but now I let it hide

I am afraid to lose this gift
the one that makes my spirits lift
I guard it fiercely as a lion
tempt it sweetly as a siren
Ill never set it free

This secret keeps my will to live
and makes my heart so full to give
Ill hold it tightly in my arms
and never let it come to harm
and nobody knows it but me
