Founded in 1998, Lipgloss quickly became one of the most established indie-pop bands in Jakarta. Now, the band is looking forward to express their music to the world. After a long, long process of line-up changes and near break-up experiences. Dedication and perseverance to remain true to creating boundaries-breaking- no-holds-barred-music eventually kept them together. They released their first single "Pijar" in August 2006, followed by series of performances in Bandung & Jakarta. Not long after, they released their debut album, "Asa", on 21 January 2007.

Musik merupakan suatu bagian dari ujung tombak berkembangnya komunitas indie"."Indie" dalam hal ini berarti menjadi diri sendiri. Berkarya melalui cara yang dirasakan nyaman dan tidak terikat. Lipgloss yang mayoritas personilnya berasal dari Jakarta ini, sejak tahun 1998 telah berkecimpung dalam musik indie. Mereka ingin mempersembahkan karya lewat album perdana yang diberi judul "Asa". Lipgloss yang terinspirasi dengan band asal Inggris seperti The Beatles, Radiohead, Pulp, Morrissey, The Cure, Suede, Muse dan Coldplay ini mempercayakan kepada Digitax Production untuk peluncuran album Lipgloss, dengan tema "For You and For Us". Persiapan konsep kurang lebih tiga bulan ini ditujukan untuk orang-orang yang selama ini menunggu setia karya Lipgloss , orang-orang yang banyak membantu selama 8 tahun terakhir dan komunitas "indie"seperjuangan. Dengan peluncuran album ini, Lipgloss berupaya memicu revolusi dalam perjuangan musik indie. Maju terus musik indie Indonesia! Acara Peluncuran Album Lipgloss akan berlangsung pada:

Pertama beli CD lipgloss di Britbash (cuma gara2 covernya), and what can i say? Two thumbs up! Love it instantly.,. to be honest, lipgloss is the first and only Indonesian-made band that i like,., keep up the good work, goseikou o inorishimasu!
