you'll never know

Wednesday,Jul 11 2007, 08:17:21 PM

She sits a the foot of her bed, a tiny blond-haired girl no older then six. Sounds of hatred and anger linger in the background, she has the door open just a crack so she can make words out of her parents disturbed voices. She trembles, as she gains the courage to stand. 'I have to do something' she thinks to herself. 'I just cain't take this anymore' The screaming is just too much. Shes heard it before, so why should she be afraid? She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. The next thing she knows shes out in the living room and the voices get louder. "You never gave me any money for food, thats why we're here, with nothing to eat!" The girls mother viciously attacks. "and what good would that do? what would you go blow it on? drugs? alchol?" Her father throws back. His face tense, and full of anger. "STOP!" The girl screems as loud as her tiny body would let. The two adults turn around in surprise. They hadn't expected their daughter to say a word. "You get back in that room! this is nothing for you to hear!" her father dosn't mean to yell, she knows. But tears swell up in her eyes and she runs back to the room, slamming the door behind her. The little girl sits in the dark with a wet face, and listens to the voices outside. She no longer cares to try and make words out of the screams. It dosn't matter. Theres nothing she can do. Suddenly she hears a SMACK. Silence takes over. The girl looks at the door, wondering why everything went queit. She dosn't dare go and cure her curiosity. And then theres footsteps that stop outside her door. She sits quietly, barely breathing. She hears the person sit outside. "Kelsey, come sit by me, im sorry" her fathers booming but calm voice echos in her ears. she turns the knob and stumbles to his side. They sit there, in silence for a moment and then he puts his arms around her and hugs her tight. "I will never do that again. I promise." the girl looks up into her fathers innocent eyes and wonders, what exactly, did he do?

living in hell

keep holding on,
even when all the good in life has gone,
just remember who you are
and that happiness isn't too far
don't let them push you around
don't let your gaurd down
stand your ground
this is all we need....
to succeed..
remember that when your blue,
what they say isn't true.
so many things the world dosn't know
but if they looked down deep below
then maybe they'd get the hint
we all have a different color,
a different tint,
so whats the need for war?
letting bodies drop to the floor
these are the words you don't want to hear
these are the words we all fear
nobody wants to be alone or forgotten
it happens all the same, good gone rotten.
nobody wants to be rejected,
each one of us want to be respected.
nobody wants to feel unloved.
so many problems left unsolved.
and we simply don't have a solution
to put these words into motion
you can wish and you can pray
but here is where we will stay
until we peice this puzzle back together,
this may go on forever
now i only have one more rhyme to tell
don't be worried about going to hell
because the world dosn't care
that we're already there.
