For my girl; Could it be you ?

A poem for you, known as Blue Moon

My heart in warm hands rested
your Mona Lisa smile brought
the wind of summer into my life
and turned my leafy head

I dreamed of pines, stars in the sky
your kisses, your hypnotic lips,
those sensual hips
and those tasty finger tips
I could only whisper yes

Butterfly kissed you were
drawing me up like a freshly kindled
flame with sparks straining to burst

The air between us so closely shared
was like the future past
somehow familiar in essence
you said yes

I felt my whole being converted
to smoke drawn into you willingly
held aloft by whisper feathers
we flew on the wings of passion

Your fingers played my hair like a harp
I felt each strand as you touched
winding me slowly around your finger
and pulled the trigger of my life

We took each other to the ends
of the earth and back in one night
danced in forests, kissed the future
raced sunsets chased by the blue moon

We held each other like childhood blankets
looked into each other's eyes
you smiled that sly smile
earthly laughed, slow and wild

I wanna taste more the sweat from
your silky neck fresh on my tongue
as the heat of your body travels
a thousand miles..
