UPDATE ON THE DALÍ WORLD
If a person has integrity, nothing else matters.
If a person does not have integrity, nothing else matters.

That will always be true. It is a good yardstick to measure me and my practice and various players in the Dalí market. Here are recent events and facts that you can count on:

I just returned to the private Albaretto Collection in Turin, Italy where I again had complete access to the artworks, volume after volume of documentation and photographs of Salvador Dalí and the Albaretto Family. All—especially the artworks themselves—confirmed my 1998 examinations and opinions of authenticity.

The three lawsuits in Europe aimed at The Collection have all been dismissed by the courts. There is no ongoing investigation.

One of my many gallery clients, Park West Gallery, is the exclusive buyer and seller of Dalí artworks and prints from the Albaretto Collection. I authenticate every artwork before they buy it. If I turn it down, they don’t purchase. I do not appraise their offerings.

Lee Catterall is about to release an updated and expanded edition of his 1998 book The Great Dalí Art Fraud and Other Deceptions. It is expected to be very revealing and entertaining.

I’m informed that lawsuits have been filed against Internet site Fine Art Registry, CEO Theresa Franks and California dealer Bruce Hochman.

I continue to provide on a daily basis the most credible information available to colleagues for appraising Dalí artworks. I’m the fully independent expert. I also don’t have a criminal record. Cool.

Since I represent the “has integrity” side of the equation above, I hope you’ll call me directly if you need help, have questions or want to discuss any slanderous statements you may have heard about me. I’m available and always honest. 1-800-884-3254.

Now my questions are these and they relate directly to your integrity:

1)When you were paid the $19,000 (or whatever the sum was) by Park West in 1999 to "authenticate" thousands of photomechanically reproduced "Salvador Dalí" prints from the "Albaretto Collection" and were willing to "sign off on them", were you paid this fee for your time and services, or were you paid the fee if you returned a positive outcome (in Park West's eyes), that the prints were genuine? (Background information on this incident can be found here:
SalvadorDaliFakes.com If the answer is what I believe, which is that you were paid that sum on condition that you found the prints to be authentic (after all, some people with real integrity who refused to "sign off on" the prints were not paid anything at all, even though they were promised an extra $10,000 if they did "sign off on" them).

2) Have you ever met or talked to Salvador Dalí? How can you go around allowing Park West to tout you as "the world's leading expert on Salvador Dalí" when you are simply an appraiser and a non-entity in the eyes of anyone who really counts in the world of Salvador Dalí including the major auction houses and the Foundation? Is that integrity?

I believe that your idea of integrity comes in green pieces of paper of different denominations.

As for Lee Catterall, he has admitted that he is being paid by Park West to release the update of his book or whatever he publishes. Park West is a leading vested interest in the Dali art market. They have a lot of prints to sell.

As you say, If a person doesn't have integrity, nothing else matters.

Nothing else matters!

Don't worry. We are looking into this further.
