you did not commit ethnic cleansing on the inigenous people in 20th century, as ex serbian policy did, not to mention the division of Albanian nation in 1912. So yeah I understand Spain's position and I am sure that forspain is just a question of time.
I think media should make it more clear it a SUI GENERIS case, and then it will be easier to understand.

Our Eagle means a lot to us its connected to our identity ,
Eagle= Shqiponje
Shqiptar = Albanian
Tell me the connection between Serbs and eagle since you have one as well;)
2/22/2008 5:57 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
And by the way Serbs are South Slavic and were pagans until all deities were converted to saints by eastern ortodox church... So the eagle has much bigger meaning and is realaited to roots of Slavic ppl and their religion!

Anyway the Albanian flag the Black twoheaded eagle is a symbol of Ghegs and Tosks (north albanians and south albanians)
That is why to us is very important. And The flag we have today was raised by our National hero Scanderbeg in 1443 when he fought the othomans and kept them away from Europe for 15 years, he was even considered from the Pope of the time as the "Athlete of Christ"
So as you say everyone has his own culture, and reason to love his national flag, I did not insult it though as some Serbian friends of your here insulted the Albanian flag.

Not be ruled by Serbia again...
(New York, July 27, 1999) -- Human Rights Watch today released a detailed report on how Serbian and Yugoslav forces besieged and terrorized the ethnic Albanian population of Glogovac town and the surrounding villages in Kosovo.
Human Rights Watch urged the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia to locate and interview the police officer identified in the report as "Lutka," who may have valuable information about the identities of those who committed summary executions and other atrocities in the area.
The twenty-five-page report describes summary executions, including a massacre of twenty-three children, arbitrary detentions, regular beatings, widespread looting, and the destruction of schools, hospitals, and other civilian objects during the Serbian government's three-month campaign of "ethnic cleansing" from March - June 1999. As a stronghold of the KLA and an area of constant fighting with government forces, the Glogovac municipality was particularly hard-hit between March 19, when international observers (the OSCE's Kosovo Verification Mission) withdrew from Kosovo before the NATO bombing campaign, and June 15, when Serbian and Yugoslav forces withdrew from the region.
The most serious atrocities documented in the report took place in two villages near Glogovac: Staro Cikatovo and Stari Poklek, both places where the KLA was active. In Poklek, the police blocked a group of ethnic Albanians -- mostly members of the extended Muqolli family -- from fleeing their village and forced them into the house of a relative. After a few hours, the owner of the house, Sinan Muqolli, and another man were taken outside, executed and thrown into the family well.
Shortly thereafter, a grenade was thrown into the room holding at least forty-seven persons, including twenty-three children under the age of fifteen. One man in uniform raked the room with automatic gunfire, a survivor said, killing everyone inside except six people. A member of the Muqolli family is a local commander of the KLA.
A Human Rights Watch researcher visited Sinan Muqolli's largely burnt house on June 25, 1999. The room where the killing took place had bullet marks along the walls and bullet casings from a large-caliber weapon scattered on the floor. The basement below the room had dried blood stains dripping from the ceiling and walls and a large pool of dried blood on the floor. Surviving family members displayed a cardboard box containing some of the bones allegedly collected from the room and showed the nearby well where they claimed some of the bodies had been dumped.
In Staro Cikatovo on April 17 the police attacked the village and separated the men from the women and children. By the end of the day, twenty-three men from the Morina family had been killed. Another four were still missing as of June 25 and presumed dead by their families. The survivors from Staro Cikatovo insist that none of the dead men were involved in the KLA, although several members of the family are KLA soldiers, including two who were wounded in the assault. As in Poklek, this may be one explanation for the executions.
Human Rights Watch visited Staro Cikatovo on June 25, 1999. Between 40 and 50 percent of the approximately one hundred homes had been badly damaged or destroyed. Most houses had been burned from the inside, indicating that they were purposefully burned rather than damaged in combat. Several structures had also been demolished by bulldozers.
The actions in the Glogovac municipality were clearly coordinated between the regular Serbian police, the Yugoslav Army, and paramilitaries, whom witnesses identified as having long hair and beards, with colored bandanas on their heads and sleeves. While the police were responsible for many of the beatings in Glogovac, as well as the organized mass expulsion, it is the paramilitaries who are implicated in most of the serious violence, such as in Poklek and Staro Cikatovo.
The only person identifiable by witnesses was a deputy police chief from Glogovac known as "Lutka," a known policeman in the town. Residents said that he did not behave brutally, unlike many of the paramilitaries, although he was involved in thefts, and he was a principal organizer of the forced depopulation in early May, telling Albanians that they should "get on the buses or go to Albania by foot."
It should be noted that these abuses are hardly the first war crimes committed by Serbian or Yugoslav forces in the Glogovac municipality. Since February 1998, the Drenica region has been the sight of numerous executions, arbitrary detentions, beatings, and the systematic destruction of civilian objects, such as schools, medical clinics, and mosques.
Human Rights Watch called on the international community to support the work of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia (ICTY) by guaranteeing ongoing financial and political support to the Tribunal, assisting the Tribunal to identify witnesses and evidence, and working closely with the Tribunal to secure evidence and ensure the protection of witnesses.
The organization also urged the international community to provide the Tribunal with any intelligence information obtained that relates to the commission of war crimes, including the identification of specific units engaged in operations in areas in which abuses occur, and to convey relevant satellite intelligence information to the Tribunal.

2.I'm not Serbian. Im a Bosnian or Bosniak.
3.I never claimed to be Macedonian. I support the Macedonians in the naming dispute with Greec and I call them "my people" because thats what they are.
5.I don't believe in human rights? Think about the human rights when as many as 50 countries are fighting their seccessionist! Also please do not talk to me about human right. Do we need to start on your human rights in Iraq, Afghanistan or Guantanamo Bay?
6.I don't belive in Stalinism and I don't like Stalin! I also hate facism and that's my countries motto!
Smrt fašizmu, Sloboda narodu! (Death to facism, freedom to people)
7.Also do we need to start with colonialism in your country?

2/21/2008 11:54 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosov
As for the 100 countries i already explained this to you... The OIC said that they congradulate Kosovo but they will allow their memebrs to decide for them selfs. Azerbaija, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan already said no while Afghanistan, Turkey, Albania, Malaysia and Senegal said yes. Look at the link i gave you (and it's not Wikipedia) look at the sentence starting with "as the islamic states...."
http://www.earthtimes.org/articles/show/186745,organization-of-the-islamic-conference-backs-kosovo-independence.html
It's not about I'm right and your wrong but you can't claim countries that haven't chosen a side!
2/22/2008 12:03 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "K
At least if that is for that, we albanians were never divided as you serbs because of religious matters, even though we were separated in 4 different countries, we respected our nationality.
Ok you are saying 2 countries of OIC have said no:) fine there are more than 55 that are expected to recognize it.
We may not be as religious as you are, but we never insulted religions, and you will never have events of religious hate In albanian lands.
2/22/2008 12:14 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn Stat
By the way I'm not serbian...notice the name? Thank you for realising that you gave out the wrong information with 100 countries. 3 countries said no from the OIC (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Azerbaijan)and the news is just in saying that Iraq is deciding. Also Bolivia & Ukraine said no so right now it's offcialy 16 yes and 18 no. And of course there is no events of religious hatred beacsue alabnians are mostly atheist or very non-religious

Asia:
Russia says no so Kazakhstan says no, Kazakhstan says no Kyrgyzstan says no, Kyrgyzstan says no Tajikistan says no!

Independent means: 'not subject to control by other' or 'self governing'. Kosovo will have their own gov't and constitution. Just because some countries do not recognize them, it doesn't mean they are not independent.
Israel is not recocnized by 39 states. Taiwan is only recognized by 25 states. South Korea does not recocnize North korea and vise versa.
Your statement is wrong.
2/24/2008 7:59 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn Stat
2/24/2008 11:15 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn
>>>>>> 'OWN GOV'T' as an autonomous region of Serbia is different from OWN GOV'T as a sovereign state (which Kosovo have now). The two are very much different in the sense that the former is self governance where it's policies agrees to follow governing laws and it's actions answers to a higher authority, which in Kosovo's case they follow Serbia's authority. This was a fact as evidenced by Milosevic overturning the veto rights (on federal level) of Kosovo and the transfer of many autonomous rights to central authorities in Belgrade.
Republic of China or commonly known as Taiwan considers itself as a sovereign state. It is unable to access a seat on the UN because of the fierce opposition of the Peoples Republic of China. PRC has never controlled Taiwan since it was established in 1912. Taiwasn is an independent state as it is not being controlled by any foreign entity and it's gov't is recognized by 23 states.
On the case of Israel, many will agree that it is an independent and sovereign state as it is recognized by the UN. But because most of the muslim countries do not recognize them, does that make Israel less independent? No. Same as with Kosovo, just because countries allied with Serbia won't recocnize it does not diminished the fact that they are independent too.
A country is sovereign and independent so long as it satisfies the definition of self-governing and not ruled by any other state.

To set the record straight: No one in Albania stole U.S. President George W. Bush's wristwatch this weekend while he was visiting the Eastern European country.
Some news outlets had reported that when he was walking through a tight crowd of excited, cheering people, and reaching out to receive their grasping hands, someone swiped his watch. Both the Albanian police and U.S. embassy have confirmed, however, that the story is untrue. Photographs show Bush putting his hands behind his back so one of his bodyguards could remove the watch.

I am asking you Adnan how legal was the anexation of kosova in 1913????,
Just wake up for God's sake and stop crying over something that is over.
Albanians in Kosova deserved their Independence, Kosova was just a Serbian colony!!
Keep dreaming the ethnic cleansing is over, Adnan, keep fighting between muslim serbs and orthodox ones as you did up! Find peace between you and leave theothers live in peace!
My best wishes to Pakistan , I am happy your opposition won the elections. Wish you the best and peace.

I think many people are against independence of Kosovo. They have a right to express their feelings but they should not use abusive language. We should respect others'views.

Course I'm Australian, what does "and yet you haven't even been there" have to do with me being Australian? Is it compulsory now? :o
In answer to your question, nope, haven't been there.
"Obviously you dont understand"
O rly? and some girl still in high school does?
"here ill give you an example Australia was owned by ABORIGINALS"
The Aboriginals never believed they owned the land, they had no concept of ownership of land. Your point is invalid.
"untill convicts and people from england came and claimed AUSTRALIA to be "their land" .. and ofcourse guns are more effective then spears so they couldnt really do much could they.. so lets take your house for example =) say you owned your house i had no where to stay so i came in and settled for abit then afterwards i claimed that it was my house not yours and you have to move out.. but you couldnt do anything because the guys next door are pretty powerful so you have no say."
Lets bring this example into relation with the whole Kosovo/serbia thing. I could take my appeal to get my house back to the UN or some higher power: in the case of my house, the police/legal system, and odds are I would get my house back. Yay!
Anyway, it's Serbian land, right? How come only a minority of Serbians live there? Why did Serbia go and commit all sorts of war crimes? Hmm, seems to me that when they started slaughtering people they lost the right to Kosovo, and only now has that been formally recognised.
"so until someone comes and decides that AUSTRALIA is theirs not yours.. and you have less power to do something about it."
Doesn't have to happen, I'm allowed to comment as I have a working knowledge of politics and international relations. Hell, ANYONE who has an opinion on the matter is allowed to comment. Telling people to shut up is just something people do when they have no way to back up their argument, ala you.
"dont make stupid remarks!"
LOL Irony!
2/22/2008 7:20 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
Kosovo is legally part of Serbia under UN Security Council Resolution 1244. And that won't change with the council in deadlock.
Incidentally the UK is suppose to be British land but it won't be long before the British are a minority majority.
And as for war crimes, well yes that happened. On both sides I must add. But however look at what has happened in recentish history of Europe when land has been stolen from another country, has never gone well. Hitler of course springs to mind, "living space". Only one of many examples, the declaration of independence for Kosovo will only be the future cause for another war at sometime I would envisage, even if it is in 100 years.
Quite frankly I do believe the Albania's in Kosovo should do what all immigrants in Europe of that type of origin should do. Go bloody well home, this would avoid another war over Kosovo.

Lol, righto. Australia is stupid, got any proof to back that up or do you just like to make general racist statements?
"what is it to you what is happening in kosovo!"
Because this has larger implications in the international realm than JUST Kosovo/Serbia. You don't have to be albanian or serbian to have an interest.
":do you know the history apart from the internet? "
Why, yes, I do actually.
"its between the serbians and albanians idiots like australia and america should stop acting so tough and worry about there own problems!"
Australia and America have roles to play in the world at large, we're able to worry about other countries as well as our own, are you so close minded as to not be able to see that? :/

Riyadh, Feb 20 (DPA) The Jeddah-based Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) declared its support for Kosovo's independence, viewing the move as an asset to the Muslim world, reports here said Tuesday.
"As we rejoice in this happy result, we declare our solidarity with and support for our brothers and sisters there," said Ekmeleddin Ihsangoglu, OIC Scretary General, according to a statement issued by the organization.
He added that the Islamic community hopes that Kosovo would successfully build a strong state capable of satisfying its people.
"There is no doubt that the independence of Kosovo will be an asset to the Muslim world and further enhance the joint Islamic action," Ihsangoglu said during a speech at a meeting for senior officials Monday.
As the 57 Islamic states, members of the organization of the Islamic conference, endorsed the declaration, the recognition of Kosovo is left up to each member state.
Kosovo declared independence Sunday after the province has been under UN control and NATO protection since 1999.
Kosovo is the sixth state carved from the Serb-dominated federation since 1991, after Slovenia, Croatia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Montenegro. Tens of thousands of people were killed in ethnic fighting during the break-up of Yugoslavia during the 1990s.
The OIC aims at protecting the interests of the Muslim world, and is considered to be the second largest inter-governmental organization after the UN.

2/21/2008 12:26 PM After being a Serbian colony Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
Part of article taken from :

Kosova as a Colonial Problem: Albanians under Belgrade Rule
Serbia’s treatment of Albanians as an oppressed and unwanted people did not begin with the war of 1999, or Swith Miloševic ‘s rise to power in 1989. Ever since Serbia’s invasion and annexation of Kosovain 1912-13 - i.e. of a territory where, according even to Serbian estimates, around 60% of the population was non-Serb - Kosovaor Albanians have suffered constant repression and persecution, and have continuously been viewed by Serb nationalists as a threat to the interests of the Serbian state. At the same time, Serbia’s expansion into non-Serb territories and the systematic maltreatment of its non-Serb population has had a deleterious effect on its will and capacity to create a democratic polity. The anti-Albanian policy continued after the formation of the Yugoslav kingdom in 1918. Albanians were deprived of the right to education in their mother tongue; their rights as a minority population (rights enjoyed by other minorities such as the Hungarians and Germans in the north) were not recognized; and they were excluded from citizenship. Until 1929 indeed, Belgrade emphatically denied the existence of any Albanian minority in the kingdom, while simultaneously instituting a policy aimed at changing the ethnic structure of the Kosovaor population. In the period between the two world wars, Serbia confiscated over 200,000 hectares of land from the local population - nearly half of all arable land - and distributed it to Serb settlers. The number of settlers soon rose to around 60,000, or over 15% of the overall population. There were also plans, only partly realized, to deport most of the Albanian population of Kosovato Turkey. After the end of World War II and the constitution of Federal Yugoslavia, Kosovabecame an autonomous province within the newly constituted Republic of Serbia. Anti-Albanian terror continued, however, under the direction of the Serbian and Yugoslav hard-line leader, interior minister Alexander Rankovic (4). It was only after his removal and the marginalization of dogmatists within the Yugoslav League of Communists in the mid 1960s that it became possible to create a new constitutional arrangement, as a result of which Serbian rule was removed from Kosova. The latter now became a self-governing federal unit, with rights and responsibilities equal to that of Yugoslavia’s six republics and the province of Vojvodina. It remained a self-governing federal entity until 1989, when an orchestrated campaign to revise the Yugoslav constitution was launched by the Communist League of Serbia headed by Slobodan Miloševic . Kosova’s autonomy became the first casualty in Miloševic ‘s war against Federal Yugoslavia(5). Following the violent abrogation of Kosova’s autonomy in 1989, Miloševic ‘s regime expelled Albanians en masse from state and public employment (around 90% of Albanians working in the administration and 70% of those working in public and socially owned enterprises were dismissed); shut down the University of Prishtina and nearly all high schools; closed down or muzzled Albanian-language media; exerted brutal repression against Albanian political activists; and established a generalized system of apartheid in Kosova, where the Serb minority now ruled with the military, police, political and economic backing of Belgrade. During the 1990s, Belgrade tried to return Kosovato the condition in which it had been in the 1930s. This project was destined to fail, however, because the Albanian population was no longer what it had been at that time, having already enjoyed an improved political position under the advanced autonomy of the former Yugoslav federation and Kosova’s own institutional and state structures. Thus the attempt to bring Kosovaback to a regressive state triggered a mass mobilization of its Albanian inhabitants, initially for resistance and later to fight for the right of self-determination, as with the other entities of the former Yugoslavia(6). The Albanians’ bitter experience under Belgrade’s rule during most of the twentieth century, culminating in the mass killings and expulsions of 1999, abolished any Serbian claim to legitimate rule over Kosova. It is clear, moreover, that the attitude of the Serbian leadership towards Kosovahas undergone no fundamental change despite the removal of Miloševic from power.
Faced with systematic Serbian state terror, the KosovaAlbanians maintained a peaceful resistance for several years. At the end of the 1990s, however, when purely political resistance had proved ineffective, the armed resistance of the KosovaLiberation Army was born. This won the support of the majority of Kosovaors. We view these two forms of resistance as complementary rather than exclusive, since each under certain circumstances and at a certain time contributed to fulfilling the aspirations of the people of Kosova.
NATO’s military intervention in 1999 following the unanimous decision of 22 countries and in support of chapter VII of the UN Charter, and the resulting withdrawal of Serbian forces, created conditions for a just settlement of Kosova’s future in the form of international recognition of its independence. This decision should have been made by the Western powers already in 1999, but for various reasons - including pressure from Russia and lack of determination among Western political and diplomatic circles - it was not. The delay further complicated the situation in Kosova and the Balkans. The international civilian and military presence in Kosova- KFOR and UNMIK - created conditions for security, reconstruction, and the establishment of the first democratic institutions after the 2001 municipal elections and the subsequent parliamentary ones. However, the fundamental question in Kosova- the sovereignty over its territory - remained unresolved. Without a definitive solution to this problem, it is illusory to hope for long-lasting stability in Kosova and the Balkans. As mentioned earlier in this report, the crisis and dissolution of the former Yugoslavia was set into motion by Serbia’s violent policy towards the Albanians of Kosova. The Serbian leadership even now continues to mobilize Serbs in both Kosova and Serbia on a nationalist platform. In the last couple of years, rather than focusing on Serbia’s democratization and its serious economic and social problems, Serbian political parties and opinion makers have preferred to keep the Kosovaissue on the boil. Recent opinion polls and monitoring of the Serbian media show a high level of hatred against Albanians, much higher than against other nations with whom Serbia fought even bloodier wars, such as Croats or Bosnians. At a conference held in Prishtina in June 2005, two of the most prominent Serbian intellectuals and political activists, Žarko Korac and Latinka Perovic , denounced such attitudes as shameful and racist (7).
Official Serbia has never admitted the atrocities perpetrated by their forces against the Albanian population of Kosovaduring the war of 1999. This aggression, which principally targeted the civilian population, resulted in the killing of nearly 10,000 people; the expulsion of almost half the local Albanian population; the disappearance of thousands; the rape of countless women; the destruction of nearly 150,000 homes; as well as other traumata and sufferings impossible to quantify. It is illusory, if not downright immoral, to believe that after such an experience a population could be forced to live in a union with the state that carried out such aggression, and that has yet to express remorse and accept full responsibility (8).
The complete and unconditional separation of Kosova and Serbia would represent both a guarantee to Albanians that they will not face renewed repression, and an opportunity for Serbia seriously to address its past and redefine its political identity. Freeing Serbia from Kosova would represent an opportunity for it to break once and for all with aggressive nationalism and archaic colonial thinking, and to commit itself to its own democratization. Such a development would provide the basis for a healthy and peaceful cooperation and co-existence between Serbia and Kosovain the Balkans.

So unless you think Kosovo can literally fight it's way to SUSTAINED independence, how else will it actually stay if those migs come flying? No Western country will fight for Kosovo again.

2/16/2008 11:28 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
However that is inconsequential, Russia does not have to have any contact with the EU over it. It is not EU land been discussed.
And more to the point as I say. EU has no military force, oh no sorry I think it has 13 transport planes, nothing else whatsoever. As the EU can't o anything about it on the ground, Russia doesn't have to have anything to do with the EU, nor does Serbia really.
It doesn't matter what everyone deserves or what the EU wants. It's actions, and as I said frankly NATTO will do nothing, UN wouldn't be able to(never can anyway) and the EU has no military.
So again I must ask, how do you think they will survive really? Who is going to fight for Kosovo who can even hope to match the strength of Russia and Serbia. Apart from NATO and EU countries, only really China and Japan and India can match Russia. Don't think China is going to fight for you nor Japan or India.
2/16/2008 11:39 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
And honestly it is not Russia that rules the world!!
They can black mail in their own country as they did with Mikhail Khodorkovsky. They are far from being example of rights and democracy, and no matter the diplomatic relations filled with politicaly correct, believe me the antipathy toward Putin's policy is growing and growing.
He will not black mail Europe , and no matter what Albanians are decided.
2/16/2008 11:44 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !
And no it is not Russia that rules the world, but it is one of the leaders, it is one of 5 on the UN security council.
"believe me the antipathy toward Putin's policy is growing and growing."
From who? Russians love him, doesn't matter what anyone else think of him. No foreign country is going to execute a regime change in Russia.
Can decide all you want, but what you going to do if the Russians start bombing the s*it out of Kosovo? You can believe and want it all you want, they don't hurt. They don't get things done in war, bullets do.

And,.. look at the writing style, the use of language. Mine is very very different from hers. I thought that someone like you might have noticed that. I already told you that playing Sherlock isn't something you do very well. Wrong again Varick.
It would have been nicer to see you say "sorry" to Ofelia, for falsely accusing her. But that's not something you do when you are WRONG, is it Varick? The Great Varick does not say sorry for the crap he causes. He just uses it to throw in more b*ll*hit (and no, I am not lonely). You can get away with this behavior at your age,.. but in the world of the grown up people it might, and most probably will provide you with some real problems.

I have nothing against him as a person,.. I do have something against his methods and his ways to incriminate and/or falsely accuse people, as he has done to you. I have little to no respect for people that behave like that, over and over again, and then fail to apologize when they know they are wrong. No,.. this is not a person I would even want to have anywhere near my MSN list.
He already started creating that drama in the past 24 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more chapters to come. And I do admit that having written what I wrote a little bit down in this thread does contribute to him turning it into a massive Soap. Time will tell I guess.

More will be recognizing it in the following days and weeks!
As for you Varick your happiness is the way you write it, definitely materialistic, a “gf” ( you don’t even write girlfriend so lazy you feel about her) whatever that is your own life.
I will confess I did not pay any attention to your conversation in this topic for the only reason that is, I do not go in hypothetic since there is a reality that seems to me more important to be considered, secondly I have no time to loose
Thirdly I am a busy girl ! I write long messages on weekends mostly or when I have more time , fourth I have replied already on other topics like “Kosova truth” and this topic had to do only with the official declaration of Independence, It was not a day that made it, it was a long period of time that led to it .
Fifth, If there are people that share similar ideas, it does not mean they are the same person as you pretend it. That shows of course how “sure “ you are about your ideas that whenever someone else (or more than one someone else) disagrees with you there should be a problem.
To me you make a vast amalgam in Kosova issue. Kosova issue shows one more time that the decisions of the past toward this nation were unjust, and the decisions that will be taken in sacrificing people, nations will always be like a bomb that soon or later will create another war. That is not me being the one saying such a phrase, that is what showed last wars in Balkans.

Maybe you can count, but you also withdraw your information from that one site. And the information is either not up to date, or it is incorrect. Norway should be on that list as well (http://www.aftenposten.no/english/local/article2267503.ece). And before you start crying about how it hasn't formally signed the papers yet,... it did announce it, as did Austria. If Austria is on the list, while not "formally" having confirmed it yet 100%, so should Norway be. So,.. yell at me all you want sir, for now I think it is a compliment to be called stupid by someone like you.
Maybe you should put all that hate and anger of yours into something constructive, instead of yelling and screaming like a little baby.

If your favorite wiki site is so very up to date and correct all the time,.. how come the information there is still incorrect? Apart from not having Norway on the list and having missed Finland completely (it was just now added,.. "inserted" to be more precise,.. since they obviously noticed they had missed something),.. the header of this list said "States that formally recognise the independent Republic of Kosovo (12)", while there were 13 on the list. Maybe they can't count?
Are you still sure you want to blindly rely on this webpage? Anyways,.. there are now 14 on the list, and as far as I know that should be 15 at this time. (Or 13 if you don't want to include Norway, Austria should be removed as well)... Maybe I can count after all.

So yeah I kept zapping in many international tv channels, I read , and also the list is around 100 declared by the office of information in Kosova.
Anyway on the 10 of march there will be a declaration from Kosova authorities on the list of the countries that have recognized Kosova, so till then let's leave "our serbian friends" express their hate as they are doing, it shows one more time their mentality.

So yeah the 10th of March Kosova authorities will declare the List of the Countries from whom they will have recieved the official documents od recognition. THos documents are important because they will be a part of Kosova's history anyway, so That information will be very official and true:)
I can not imagine them declaring the recognition of a country that has not made it public anyway :)
So yeah 10 March :)

Are you being hypothetical again? I see you still jump to conclusions easily Varick. And you still throw around your false accusations in order to look interesting and get attention. Just stick to the facts. The facts in this case clearly state that... you don't know sh1t.
2/19/2008 3:08 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
2/19/2008 8:22 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
fact : You claim that I am the same person as Ofelia.
- And why didn't you talk to me on what is your actual account ofelia? (your response to what I wrote earlier)
- This one. (your response to Ofelia)
People with a clear memory will remember how you have done this before to other users on Zorpia. Even the older administrators will be able to confirm this, because if I am not mistaken,.. complaints have been filed about this very behavior towards administrators.
The thing with you is that you always try to manipulate words so you think they end up looking like you are right. If you can't, then you will try to discredit, harass and annoy the person that has been able to point out that you weren't all that right. In this case that would be me because I questioned your definition of "hypothetical". I think scrolling up already shows what I am talking about.
Let's have a look at what you are doing right now; without ANY evidence you accuse Ofelia of having two or more accounts, mine being one of them. The only thing that has made you assume that, is your twisted little mind that has a way of distorting reality in such manners, that you start believing it yourself. So,.. you CLEARLY accuse someone of something without any evidence. And then you ask me if I can prove what I am saying. Actually, yes I can. But you're not worth that much of my effort and time,.. apart from that, enough people already know how and who you are.
But,.. since you started pointing fingers here and since YOU are the one that accused Ofelia of something,.. and since YOU are the one that seems to get off on proof and evidence,....... where is your evidence? Where is your proof? I mean, there must be proper motivation when you, the Smart Varick, is accusing someone of something. There must be evidence of this, right? Where is it. Please enlighten me. Show me the evidence,.. some proof. Anything. There is nothing,.. is there Varick? This was once again just something inside your head,.. your need to play detective and to point out things that aren't there. But please, amuse me, and show me how I am Ofelia. Can you? I think not, simply because,.. it isn't true.
Think about it Varick. This is how your mind works,... you convince yourself just because you think you are so damn right. You then translate that into words on the screen. Words you can't take back because people have seen them. And then when someone points out you were wrong, you start playing Sherlock. Convincing yourself even more, putting more words onto the screen,.. words you can't verify, words you can't proof. Just because you are once again wrong. Think before you speak/write. And learn to live with the fact that you are not an oracle. I would have thought that your previous experiences with matters like these would have shown you that it's better to think a bit more about what you are going to write, about what you are going to accuse people of. And that is clearly something where I have been very wrong; you have not learned from your past.
Now, show me evidence that I am indeed who you claim I am to be: Ofelia. And you don't have to start sending me private messages (yes, I know how your mind works Varick), and you don't have to start harassing me,... I already blocked you. But I guess, if you want to make a fool out of yourself, again, you can start playing Sherlock once more. But do realize that by doing so you will prove yourself to be wrong, assuming that you're any good at playing Sherlock. But we both know you have failed in that field before. So If you have no evidence at all,... let it rest and walk away,.. can you do that Varick? Maybe that is one thing you have learned... I doubt it though.
Anyway, unless you have anything new or interesting, and some evidence,.. I'll just let you be happy inside your home made little reality. And by new and interesting I do not mean the mud throwing or the nagging about whom I might be. (Yes, I really do know how your mind works.) And before you accuse anyone of anything else, please make sure you can enforce your words this time. Just because you THINK you know what is going on, doesn't mean it is reality. Be a good boy and do your homework, properly. I do have a feeling you might realize by now though that you were wrong again, and that in fact I am not Ofelia at all. Have a good day Varick.
[edit]
And indeed Varick does realize he was wrong once again. Scroll up (as I should have done before I wrote this) to see how he "admits" to Ofelia that he has been falsely accusing her. Something for which he doesn't apologize of course.

Such as. Name one, just other person i have ever said that to? Go on name one. You can't do it because I never have.
"Even the older administrators will be able to confirm this, because if I am not mistaken,.. complaints have been filed about this very behavior towards administrators."
No you are mistaken. Go and get these admins to come and say this with the original reports then. Please do, it will be amusing to see you unable to do it.
"The thing with you is that you always try to manipulate words so you think they end up looking like you are right. If you can't, then you will try to discredit, harass and annoy the person that has been able to point out that you weren't all that right. In this case that would be me because I questioned your definition of "hypothetical". I think scrolling up already shows what I am talking about."
You said something to me, I answered. That is the way it works in case you haven't noticed. And as for discredit, to whom? I couldn't give a dam what other people who may be reading this think. So who else is there I would want to discredit you to? Or anyone else.
"Let's have a look at what you are doing right now; without ANY evidence you accuse Ofelia of having two or more accounts"
By your own logic then you have done the same silly action. So far in this response you have made claims of me of which you have no proof, and will be unable to support unless of course you go and get some E-friends to edit reports they made months ago in the ZRC. Which actually I wouldn't put past you.
Anyway nope I do have my evidence or I wouldn't of come to that conclusion. I have been on zorpia since November 2006. Never. Not once. Ever have I seen someone make an account to complain of anything that doesn't not affect himself directly. It seems quite strange that someone who is not Ofelia would go to the trouble of making a second account, and then post a forum for her on the same day she posted a forum which was evidently of a matter close to her, in which the forum ofelia posted is relinked. In addition you have the exact same writing style of her, and I mean exact. You could of at least changed your writing style. And now you say you do not wish to reveal your identity, oh shock horror I wonder why. Maybe, maybe just maybe I am wrong and you are not ofelia, but I am sure you can see why I think otherwise. Hey if you are her just give the account to someone else, just to prove me wrong if you like :D
"Actually, yes I can. But you're not worth that much of my effort and time,.. apart from that, enough people already know how and who you are."
lols is that an attempt at ridicule?
"Show me the evidence,.. some proof. Anything. There is nothing,.. is there Varick? This was once again just something inside your head,.. your need to play detective and to point out things that aren't there. But please, amuse me, and show me how I am Ofelia. Can you? I think not, simply because,.. it isn't true."
look above. Now I have given mine, where is yours for anything you say?
"Words you can't take back because people have seen them"
When do I ever? I would not say them if I wanted to take them back. Fool. Extremely rarely I edit a post in which case I acknowledge I have done so, and the vast majority of the time I do that is to correct a bad typo.
"Just because you are once again wrong."
Once again, tell me when I have been before and prove it.
"And learn to live with the fact that you are not an oracle"
perhaps after you do mystery man.
"you have not learned from your past."
Prove me wrong? Oh no. And even if you do, I do learn from my mistakes, one of the reasons why I make precious few :D
I must say that already from what I have read of your response, you have stated nothing but your own opinions of me. Got anything intelligent to say of me?
"And you don't have to start sending me private messages"
Don't do that mate. Never, I anwser PM's when they are sent to me, but never send them first. Or let me guess you have some magical conversation in which I stared by PM. Oh no you don't, what a surprise.
"But we both know you have failed in that field before"
When? Example case. Oh right there isn't one. You do realise by all these claims you make of me with none you can prove except for a slight possibility you are no ofleina, which is not the only claim you have made that I am wrong in. You are only making a fool of yourself. Or don't you?
"I do not mean the mud throwing or the nagging about whom I might be (Yes, I really do know how your mind works."
Really, wow I haven't nagged. I answer responses paragraph by paragraph and I haven't nagged. So nope you have understood nothing, well done.
"And indeed Varick does realize he was wrong once again. Scroll up (as I should have done before I wrote this) to see how he "admits" to Ofelia that he has been falsely accusing her. Something for which he doesn't apologize of course."
Nope, I thought you "know how my mind works". Quite frankly you know s**t.
And as for know anything of me, oh my no. I do however believe I know what type of person you are based upon this response. You are one of the majority of people on zorpia who states their opinion of other people as fact, well read your own writing again. An opinion of someone isn't a fact.
2/19/2008 9:06 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
What I could show them would only be more of the same, it gets boring. If they really want to know they can always dive into the old threads. You're a complete waste of time and energy Varick. Not worth much of mine anyways.
I'll spend a bit more time on you little Varick. There's one thing that stood out from all the standard cry-baby actions you squirt onto the screen. I will quote you, and I will respond,... but only because I really think you should stop making these false accusations about Ofelia.
have been on zorpia since November 2006. Never.
You keep talking about a second account. I only have this one account. And the whole reason why I signed up for Zorpia, was to bring this very thread back to the public, since so many unpleasant people had voted it down. At least you agree with me that the whole voting system is flawed. I don't even know Ofelia, well, now I do a bit of course. But before I signed up I had never seen her or heard about her. Why is it so hard for you to believe that some people are willing to do something for someone else, something which they think is needed, something which they think is "the right thing",... without expecting anything in return for it? Is that really so hard to believe? Does there really have to be more behind this?
Maybe, maybe just maybe I am wrong and you are not ofelia, but I am sure you can see why I think otherwise.
Yes,.. I do see why you think otherwise. It is very very clear. You have given the answer to that in the very sentence I just quoted. You simply have problems with accepting that you might be wrong,.. you are so full of yourself Varick. Lose that attitude,.. for your own sake. And stop the lies,... we both know you have (for example) sent at least two people messages without them wanting it. I know this for a fact, because I was one of them, you dumbass. For now I'll let you do your little cry baby act. It's always amusing to see a little boy getting trapped inside his own lies.
This thread was supposed to be a happy one, at least for some people. You found another opportunity to throw your bullsh1t on someone's doorstep again. If you were really such a great guy, say sorry to her. That's hard, isn't it? Saying sorry. Have a good day Varick, I hope you won't mind me ignoring your lies and twisted words in this thread,.. :)
2/19/2008 9:43 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
So it is you who cares about hat other people read, didn't you say that was me?
"You keep talking about a second account. I only have this one account. And the whole reason why I signed up for Zorpia, was to bring this very thread back to the public, since so many unpleasant people had voted it down"
really so someone not on zorpia is familiar with how the voting system works. Signed up to this just because of a down voted thread(if true get out more) and knows my real name. hummm. You then also speak about older threads, unless you are an extremely sad person to of trawled though them to essentially E-stalk me, you must have or have had pother accounts.
"Why is it so hard for you to believe that some people are willing to do something for someone else"
Prove me wrong and I hall admit it. Otherwise it is only your word against mine. I said in my last response I may be wrong, If I am that's life. if I'm not that's life as well.
"Yes,.. I do see why you think otherwise. It is very very clear. You have given the answer to that in the very sentence I just quoted. You simply have problems with accepting that you might be wrong"
Not particular, look above. Come on you know how "my mind works" apparently.
"you are so full of yourself Varick. Lose that attitude"
That you are saying this to me would be as though Hitler telling someone not to hate a Jew.
"And stop the lies,... we both know you have (for example) sent at least two people messages without them wanting it."
What he f*c* are you on about, seriously what messages are these? Post them as a screen shot, go on do it. Post screen shots of this.
you are a silly little 50 year old virgin who still lives with her elderly mother and whacks off all night listening to teen pop. Yeah, i can make totally unfounded claims we well, that one has as much supporting evidence as your claims of me.
Unless you are the person who called Soul I think the name was i have never sent any PM. and I do believe if you are soul you messaged m first, I will check that after I have done this.
"It's always amusing to see a little boy getting trapped inside his own lies. "
Prove it, oh you can't do it you fool. I must say, even considering some people on zorpia, your intelligence and sense is outstandingly low.
I have never said I am such a great guy. And nope I shall no apologize for my opinions. if you are such the nice and great person as you seem to think of yourself, you apologize for the factual claims you make against me with no fact.
Nah I don't mind that because the chances are quite high they are words that someone such as yourself can't understand.
And If I have sent you private messages before, that means you must of been on zorpia before. That means you likely get banned. Banned people get banned again. Or what did you self delete, but couldn't stay away from the computer screen?

2/19/2008 9:59 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
You know, maybe people ho you evidently care about who may be reading this would have a little respect for you if you admitted your wrong. If I am I admit, if your not ofelia fine great and good I was wrong. But that doesn't mean you are right in everything else you say of me. And it doesn't mean you can prove anything, a lack of proof is in itself a sign of false claims and accusations.
I do hope you learn how to debate and then if it is possible with what must be the well, uniquely(to say it nicely) challenged mind of yours. We can then intelligently debate a subject.

your views, I respect, but you can not judge me for counting the countries that recognized Kosova ..as I am not criticizing you for counting or mentioning Russia and others that do not recognize it, you have the right to express your views.
I believe in Debate, especially when there are arguments.
Now you are saying Serbia will not join EU
Well they voted Tadic, pro European, they lost Kosova in 1999, most of them knew it already, it just became official , that 'is all. Of course I am not as naive to say that all this will be easy, but unfortunately no other solution could be found, and it is normal that the privileged (still If you read carefully Ahtisaari plan you will see that there are a lot of conditions in their Independence) should be Kosova people especially knowing what they went through.
As I said .. time will show.

"Listen :) The topic I created was to congratulate the newborn State Kosova :) what is wrong with that !!"
I never said anything was wrong with that, did I?
I am not judging you for it, it is just plainly evident you are attempting to wind me up over it. You appear to think that it annoys me, and you want to annoy me so by repeatedly saying it you can attain your aim. But it doesn't. Cyprus, Russia. Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, China, Azerbaijan, Sri lanka, Slovakia. And more all haven't. I haven been posting them to you one by one have I?
"Russia and others that do not recognize it, you have the right to express your views."
yeah and so you do. Difference is until ^^ I only mentioned Serbia, Russia and China. You have been posting to me all these countries that have individually. And then adding a ":)" obviously designed to annoy me. And what I say back to you is answering. I am not waiting for countries to reject it so I can post it to you and go "X-country has reject it :P".
"Now you are saying Serbia will not join EU "
No I bloody well didn't. This is what I said:
"They can't stop it for joining for refusing to recognise Kosovo."
In answer to you convey the point that the EU can put pressure on Serbia by threatening to refuse its application. I only said the EU can't do that, as they can't by their own laws.
let me guess you will no claim I have edited what I said?
I know Serbia want to be in the EU. I know about Tadic.
As for losing it in 1999 I would disagree. I would say 1999 was the first step, not the last.
They declared a state religion by the way? I can't be bothered to google as my internt is playing up.

Voting is the base of human rights, and this topic along in its debate talked for human rights even though, in the beginning I just hoped to hear some "Congratulations"
Finally this is the sad reality my friend, you may see here people that say things without supporting, people "shouting" by writing. People that have as a crucial side of their communication insults, hate, and people that ignore and pretend to express ideas based in their ignorance.
I am very happy though that there are many zorpians who felicitated, this newborn state. I am very happy that the insult threads in this topic that I and some other reported to the zorpia team, were checked and deleted, they put those messages in red, to remind the others that messages of that type are not welcomed here.
So far it is kind of late :)

Sure either the Russians or Serbs could crush whatever intent of creating an independent Kosovo either by force or through diplomatic strifes, but that would be adding insult to injury. This stupid conflict over an stupid and outdated concept has shed enough blood already and the days of the old Yugoslavia are over. It's best to just let everyone else be.
2/16/2008 11:58 PMRe: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
Yes it is best to let everyone be, but as you implied with your question. I am not a high ranking Russian. And if the high ranking Russians feel otherwise, they can make it be known.

Case in point, they are two different scenarios. By the way, if Russia does so, would you agree with such intervention?
2/18/2008 4:22 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
But the point is anyway when iraq is over and so to is Kosovo unless the Russians have released Chechnya the same terrorists will flock there once more.
Would I agree with military action do you mean, no. At least not for now or the immediate future. I would however not rule it out for the future.

2/18/2008 5:58 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
And as I say again. Public? What public? The Russian public or American public or British public or French public or Serbian. The world does not hold one unanimous opinion over anything, so when you say world public opinion would be turned against Russia if they attacked Kosovo. Who do you mean? Remembering that the world isn't a place of one opinion. You mean the West? Well look at recent events with bombers, gas lines and threats made by the Kremlin, I don't think opinion of Russia in the West is already that high, especially in the UK. As for bombing Kosovo it would only be the west with concern, and that level of concern would not be as high as it if for iraq. Again, I must ask do you understand?

2/18/2008 8:25 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
Do Russians care? yes they certaintly do. Even the US and China who are de facto the most hated countries world wide care about their public image, why wouldn't Russia?
Who the UN who they can block. Who NATO who are struggling them self to support current commitments
Because member countries don't feel that any further force is needed in Afghanistan. Most of them have already agreed to recognize Kosovo and would evidently respond against those who would be willing to crush it, being it Serbs or Russians or anyone. You have a huge problem recognizing context and circumstance.
2/18/2008 8:44 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
"Of course no one expect a war to occur"
You said that people at home would disagree with people joining the military because they get shot at. Then say that of course no one expects a war to occur.
And the Russia's care. Then why did they order shut the British councils? Cut of gas supplies to East Europe not so long ago. Why are they performing naval exercise in the Med? Why are they still claiming this and that about the US and UK? Why are they performing cold war era bombing patrols? Why did Putin himself say a new arms race has began and why did he then also say that he would attack Ukraine if he felt needed? Perhaps I should rephrase, care maybe as no one likes to be thought bad of, but will that stop them? Do you really think what other people may think is going to stop them?
And as for NATO. "Most of them have already agreed to recognize Kosovo and would evidently respond against those who would be willing to crush it"
Reconsigning the place does not mean they will deploy troops to fight for it, especially when most already have troops in two of the most dangerous places in the world that are a;ready proving logistically difficult. See, you say that but what evidence have you actually got that "evidently" NATO countries would respond against anyone wishing to crush it with military force? Can't think of any you have. Or if you mean sanctions, Russia can do the same with gas. Or a strongly worded letter, wow the Russians must be terrified.
2/18/2008 8:57 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
That's because you are putting to completely unrelated sentences. In the first one I was replying to your idiotic claim that "So do you not think that many people in the West are not against the war because it is their family members been shot at?", whereas the second one addresses the situation overall. You little idiot.
Then why did they order shut the British councils? Cut of gas supplies to East Europe not so long ago.
One thing is diplomatic/economic measures, when you brought the subject you directly referred to military interventions. Apples and oranges, kiddo.
See, you say that but what evidence have you actually got that "evidently" NATO countries would respond against anyone wishing to crush it with military force? Can't think of any you have
Evidently, you have no idea what NATO is in the first place. Or why there have been past interventions in that era before. The world has already shown it's commitment to defend Kosovo if needed, you can't argue with facts.
2/18/2008 9:25 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
"One thing is diplomatic/economic measures, when you brought the subject you directly referred to military interventions. Apples and oranges, kiddo."
And my quote of "Then why did they order shut the British councils? Cut of gas supplies to East Europe not so long ago." evidently refers to your point that Russia would not intervene on the basis that they would tarnish their world image. You are right military action and economic/sanctions are two different things, but it is quite obvious that Russia doesn't give a dam what the rest of the world think of them.
"Evidently, you have no idea what NATO is in the first place. Or why there have been past interventions in that era before. The world has already shown it's commitment to defend Kosovo if needed, you can't argue with facts."
North Atlantic Treaty Organization set up to counter the Eastern bloc, which in turn formed the Warsaw pact. The organization was charged with the defence of Europe and later all Western interests against the communist bloc. Evidently you have no idea that NATO has evolved way past that. Not least because there are new enemies and potential enemies rising in the form of China. In addition to that the USSR collapsed in case you didn't notice. It is not the sole aim of NATO to now counter Russia. This can be seen in ISAF. Which in case you don't know is in Afghanistan. Would you disagree that the primary concern of NATO now is islamic terrorists. I'm not saying Russian isn’t a concern but it is no longer the only or more to the point THE ONE THEY ARE AT WAR WITH. NATO is already at war open many fronts which if you like it or not is putting considerable strain on the organization. The last thing they need is to go to war with Russia as well. It is an extremely to the utmost meaning of the word ignorant view to dismiss that NATO is already under significant strain and then to dismiss this is likely at affect their actions. Can you simply not understand this? 1999 was before hundreds of thousands of Western troops were based in iraq and afghanistan. Those two fronts alone, because there are two are proving difficult enough. In 1999 Russia also didn't have the power it does now.
Yeah NATO may fully mobilize against Russia if Russia does against them first. If Russians tanks roll across Berlin as was the original purpose of NATO. But the chances of that are near as make no difference impossible. And Kosovo, is not a NATO country. NATO will not fight and die for Kosovo when at war in many other places against a rejuvenated Russia. Unless you have any actual evidence to counter this? DO you have any actual evidence that NATO would fight against Russia for Kosovo? Is there any treaty, any promise from any leader. Nope I didn't think you did. Unfortunately for you mate between 1999 and 2008 the world has changed a hell of a lot.
2/18/2008 9:45 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re:
Do you have any evidence that Russia will invade Kosovo? I don't need to present you with any evidence when you're just arguing about a hypothetical situation only possible in your little head.
How many stupid questions can you ask per second?
Ps. The actions of NATO are proportional of how much their countries want them to intervene. That should serve you as a hint.

Either that Russia itself is far more powerful than it was in 1999. And unlike in 1999 is in a military position as well as political and economic position to intervene.
And that NATO is already far stretched out with their own concerns.

Albanians love America for that reason. But of course there are many media that has clearly showed that they are against the policy in Iraq etc. That does not mean that we should hate America history has many pages, and Albanians have a very strong reason why they love Americans.

As for the flag , it is the albanian flag that has been so long condamened in Kosova if it was shown by the albanians.
1912 Eduard Gray ( ex minister of foreign affairs ofGreat Breatain said after the conference of the ambassadors) : " Peace was donne by sacrificing the terrutory of Albanians. Of course he meant Kosovo , what's today west Macedonia where around 25 to 30% of population is albanian, and a part of today Montenegro (today Ulcinj). A nation was cut in 5 parts , thanks to president Wilson we did not dessapear as a Nation (even Albanian would not have existed)
So when a girl like you comes to tell me nonsenses about my history I can only say wauuhhh
Yesterday Kosova was covered but the black and red flag they choosed it, and I posted that flag because that flag is the one they had the right to show yesterday. For that flag thousands of lives were given through centuries, It is not a girl like you that will pretend it to be otherewise , did you ever see those people??? I did last week ok and I saw people that Kept that flag in everyhouse even more than Albanians in Albania do, so yeah my topic was nothing official, I posted it on my name without insulting anyone,if someone wanted to post another flag, I did not prohibited it.
As for my English, I know I have to work on , nevertheless I saw lots of mistakes in your English too, but what gives you the write to criticize that is another fact that only you know.
Albanians and Greeks are the oldest habitants of Balkan Peninsula. If you Ignore it check for and check for what Ptolemu said about (2th century).
By the way I find your point has no point.
2/18/2008 10:12 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "K
Kosovo, as a Serbian province, was formed in 1945. Prior to that, the only territory called Kosovo was Kosovo Vilayet (1875 - 1912) in the Ottoman Empire(The Province of Kosovo (Vilayet of Kosovo) (Serbian: Косовски вилајет, Kosovski vilajet; Albanian: Vilajeti i Kosovës; Turkish: Kosova Vilayeti; Macedonian: Покраина на Косово, Pokraina na Kosovo) was a vilayet of the Ottoman Empire in the Balkan Peninsula only roughly corresponding to the current region of Kosovo. It was created from the former Rumelia Province as part of an Ottoman administrative reform law of 1864. As a result of the Balkan Wars of 1912-1913, the province was split between Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, and Bulgaria), with borders significantly different from today's Kosovo. and where did you got thet ever be Albania or you need more ?
2/18/2008 10:42 AMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn Stat
Tell me then how come you have albanians in MOntenegro, Macedonia , And still in the south of TODAY Serbia (Lugina e Presheves)
Can you please explain it to me howcome ALbania is the only nation bordered by Albanians??
Albania today 3,600,523 (July 2007 est.)
Kosova The latest estimate in 2001 by OSCE puts the number at 2.4 Million.(90% albanians)
Macedonia around 2 Million (Albanian 25.2%)That is more than 500 thousands of Albanians,
Montenegro 5% of the 600 thousands are Albanians (Ulcinj city just in border with ALbania today)
All this numbers show it clearly the division of one Nation .
Being a minority for Kosovars in Their own country was the worst it led to problems we all know today .
Isn't that clear for you that a nation was divided , Kosova was just aSerb Colony there are enough facts to demonstrate this. Just check with your eyes open!
2/18/2008 12:06 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn
In medieval times, Kosovo was part of the original Serbian kingdom. Together with some neighboring areas, Kosovo entered the annals of history as Old Serbia. The Serbian rulers from the 12th century onward built churches, monasteries, and fortresses in the area, such as those at Gracanica, Decani, Pec, and Prizren. These kings also competed for territory with the neighboring Byzantine and Bulgarian Empires.Kosovo is called the cradle of Serbian civilization because an important battle took place there in 1389. The Nemanja dynasty had died out shortly after its peak during the impressive reign of Emperor Dusan (r. 1331-1355). When the Ottoman Turks continued their push north and west from their foothold in Europe, they still faced determined resistance, however, from Serb forces and their allies, led by a prince named Lazar Hrebeljanovic.
The battle on June 28, 1389, at a site known as the Field of Blackbirds just outside today's Pristina, brought disaster to the Serbs. Although a semi-independent Serbian state would survive for another seventy years, this battle was the beginning of a long period of occupation and foreign domination for the Serbs.
The date of the battle has, paradoxically, become the single most important red-letter day in Serbian history. The Serbs grew increasingly proud of their tradition of resistance to the Turkish invaders, who were Muslim. As memorialized and mythologized--to this day--in Serbian epic poetry, folk songs, and nationalist histories, the Serbs saw themselves as the bulwark of Christendom that had blunted the force of the Ottoman invasion. The Ottomans went on to capture Bosnia, Hungary, and much of Croatia, and they besieged the great central European city of Vienna twice. But the significance of the Serbian pride in resistance to the Ottomans is more than just military and nationalist; it also reflects the "crusading" mentality so common in Europe in the Middle Ages. Christian Europeans often cooperated in land and sea campaigns against the Turks, whom they regarded as infidels. The Europeans had also mounted bloody invasions of the Holy Land a few centuries earlier during the Crusades, ostensibly fighting a holy war to liberate the area from the rule of Muslims.
It is important to note that in 1389 the Serbs were assisted by the Albanians in the Battle of Kosovo. The Albanians were also Christians. After suffering defeat by the Ottoman army, many Albanians gradually converted to Islam, as did other Europeans in Bosnia and Bulgaria.
This famous battle symbolizes the survival of the Serbian culture and language during the centuries of Ottoman rule. This survival was due in part to the Ottoman style of rule, which was usually rather indirect and did not aim at the assimilation of its conquered peoples. But it was also due to the structure and intellectual feats of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The church played an important administrative role under the Ottomans and kept alive a sense of Serbian identity, unity, and territorial claims. This, the Battle of Kosovo stands in Serbian history and culture as a symbol of suffering, of the struggle against invaders, and of cultural survival against the odds..................

That Zorpia tolerates this behavior does not come as a surprise. That they don't rectify the count does not come as a surprise either. I've seen that in the past, and I will most likely see it again in the future. That there aren't enough Zorpians around to do the right thing though,.. that does come as a surprise.
"we can kill them in a second. stop sending electricity, cut trade and they die like the animals they are..."
Things like that (and that is a quote from this very thread) will be tolerated and shoved into a drawer with "FREEDOM OF SPEECH" on it. But oh my,... touch religion and you're in deep sh1t! And that comes from experience as well. No,.. do that and you're all of a sudden "disrespectful". Give me an ff-ing break.
Serbia has proven more than once that is is many centuries away from being civilized and worthy of being a UN member. I don't care about religion, ethnic backgrounds, sexual preferences,.. or whatever path anyone has chosen to walk. As long as it shows basic signs of human intellectual and moral standards. Reading things like what some people have posted here, and in other threads,.. makes me shake my head and it seriously makes me wonder why on earth Serbia should ever be a part of the European Union. Behavior here borders and surpasses that of hate, racism and pure verbal abuse. And this, apparently, is something Zorpia is allowing.
This thread has so far shown just a hand full of Zorpians that are willing to speak their minds,.. the rest either don't seem to care, are too afraid to debate with the brainless and inhumane that have written things like what I quoted above,.. or maybe they just didn't see the thread because of the score. Are there so few that are willing to step up,.. so few that are willing to vent their thoughts? In my opinion, seeing the "wrong" and not doing anything is just as bad as doing the "wrong" yourself.
I would like to congratulate Kosova/Kosovo. I wish you people all the best, and I hope you get the peace and prosperous future you people deserve, in a non-violent way. And I apologize for the cowardly behaving European countries that so far have chosen to hide behind politics and economical benefits. I feel ashamed to be part of this so called European Union. I hope the political climate will change soon and that politicians will start listening to those that put them in power. Whenever you see a European government that doesn't accept Kosovo as an independent entity, please note that it is just the politicians speaking. Keep in mind though that the majority of people in those countries want nothing but the best for Kosovo. You deserve this,... take this opportunity and make the best out of it, and make sure that future generations have something proud to look back onto, without having to feel ashamed when looking in the mirror.
And Ofelia, don't let this bring you down. The words thrown at you are just what they are, words. They say more about the people that wrote them than about you, Albania or Kosova. Thanks for bringing up this thread, I'll try to bring it back to people's attention.
Peace

It's ironic to see how in Belgrade people have resorted to riots and violence. It really makes sense to break down your own country because you don't want to allow other people to have theirs (yes, that was sarcastic).

They will be those who will want to rain on your celebration.
Freedom is wonderful. Serbia brutal subjugation in Koscov of ethnic Albanian cost it right to rule.
As an American...I celebrate with you as the angry Serbs hurl rocks and break windows at the American Embassy in Belgrade.

I believe that you can not force people to live together if they have strong vital reasons. But if there are no problems of cohabitation, if there is maturity and respect I feel that unification of Cyprus will happen naturally.
Life is precious
I ll give my view after having studied a bit more the Cyprus question.

Then it is a question of revolt, values , a nation that could not accept to be treated like that in their own land ,
I just saw a report last night in a village Called "Krusha e Vogel' 185 man were killed from the Serbian army in 1998, 95 bodies were still missing, a village was emptied, no more males there, between them many children only because they were males...
How could you pretend that Kosova stays under Serbian sovereign???
It would be unrealistic to believe that.

Bottom line until Serbia says Kosovo is independent nothing will change, especially for Albanians there..they will still be unemployed, that region will remain criminal whole of Europe where barbarian Albanian clan rule, and if Albanians go against Serbs we will have excuse to return our army there.. as for nato and UN remember Bosnia or RSK in Croatia

APPEAL TO THE INTERNATIONAL
LEAGUE OF HUMAN RIGHTS
125, AVENUE DE WAGRAM, PARIS
Distinguished friends!
We cannot let pass the occasion to alert the International League of Human Rights to the events that led to the murder of a Croatian scholar Dr Milan Sufflay on February 18 [1931].
As the scholar was going home on that day, he was, on a street in Zagreb, attacked from behind and, according to the reports we have received, murdered with an iron rod. The next day he succumbed to the heavy injuries and died. He was buried at Zagreb's Mirogoj Cemetery on February 22, next to the other Croatian martyrs.
Professor Milan Sufflay was renowned for his numerous research articles and activities. Zagreb's newspapers, however, were not allowed to report on the activities of this scholar. The obituary notice was confiscated and condolence telegrams were not allowed to be sent. It was not allowed to announce the time of the funeral, and the hanging of a flag of mourning on the university building was forbidden.
The students that attended the funeral were banished from Zagreb by police authorities and the Croatian national tricolours that decorated the wreaths were removed.
The name of the murderer, Branko Zwerger, was known. The organisation that he was a member of was also known ("Young Yugoslavia"). It was known that the murder was arranged on the night between February 11 and 12, in the flat belonging to the commander of the city, General Belimarkovic. Brkic, Godler, Marcec and the murderer Zwerger were the members of the "Young Yugoslavia" organisation that took part in the assassination. Despite that, the Zagreb police announced on February 19 that the murderer was unknown.
The following facts preceded the murder of professor Sufflay:
1. On the occasion of the visit of the King of Serbia to Zagreb in January, a number of the most renowned personalities - Croatian leader Dr Vlatko Macek, Dr Ante Trumbic, Dr Mile Budak, university professors Dr Filip Lukas, Dr David Karlovic, Dr Milan Sufflay and others - were sent threatening letters signed "For the King and the Homeland," according to which their lives and the lives of their families would be the price if there were any protests or demonstrations during the King's visit to Zagreb.
2. King Alexander held a public speech to the terrorist organisation bearing the name "Young Yugoslavia," in which he spoke about removing Croatian representatives elected by the people, which he had carried out. He said: I have removed the representatives. He himself gave the initiative, that is the order, for his formal removal from the parliament, to be transformed into a physical, that is lasting, removal. June 20, 1928, when the Croatian leaders were murdered in the Belgrade parliament, should be used as a guideline.
3. Following that the government's press appealed to the public to murder the leaders of the Croatian people. Thus it was written in the government newspaper "Nasa sloga" (Our Unity) in Sušak on February 18: "The heads will be smashed."
4. On the same night, Professor Sufflay was murdered in Zagreb. The second example of an open invitation to murder was published on February 28 in the Split journal "Zastava" (The Flag), while further invitations were published in the Maribor journal "Jugoslaven" (The Yugoslav). Some members of "Young Yugoslavia", who had the task of carrying out the murders of Croats in foreign countries, were on March 12 in Vienna caught while carrying out preparations for the murders, and were handed to the courts in Vienna for judicial proceedings.
A delegation of Croatian national representatives handed the League of Nations in Geneva a Memorandum, dated January 25, 1930, which was also sent to governments and organisations of all cultural states, warning them about the situation in Croatia. The Memorandum was an accusation before the entire world against the absolutist rule of the King of Serbia and against the terror and horror of the rule against the Croatian people. As facts have proven, the horrors since that time have only be come worse. With consideration to this alarming state of affairs, we ask of you, the International League of Human Rights, to take all the necessary measures to put a stop to this endless and violent tyranny.
Murder as a source for achieving political goals must not be tolerated.
Glorifying murderers as national heroes must not be tolerated.
We feel that it is the duty of the International League of Human Rights to appeal to all those that respect freedom and the human rights of nations, to oppose the tyranny that rules in Croatia and to start the most dignified protest. All countries, especially France, Germany, Poland, Austria, places where the International League of Human Rights exists, have the responsibility of acting as a shield for this small, peaceful, and enlightened nation.
We await your decision and send you kind regards.

2/19/2008 5:12 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn State "Kosova" !!!
I checked some links and read a little bout this, im sorry to tell ya but the kosova's history is very not clear, nobody really knows which country's teritory was it from the begining, but I know for sure it was part of Serbia.here is what i found:
By 1190 Kosovo had become the administrative and cultural center of the medieval Serbian state ruled by the powerful Nemanjic dynasty. This dynasty lasted 200 years and still today Kosovo is known by Serbians as "Old Serbia". However in 1389, in the famous Battle of Kosovo Polje, the Serbs and their allies were defeated by the Ottoman Turks and shortly Kosovo became part of the Ottoman Empire. Albanians started to move back into Kosovo in considerable numbers in the 15th century and the Ottomans took sovereignty over the region in 1489. During this time the great majority of Albanians were still Christians, and Serbs and Albanians lived together in reasonable harmony. Gradually Albanians and to a lesser extent Serbs became converted to Islam. Serb resistance to conversion was strengthened by activities of the Orthodox Church since Kosovo contained many seminaries and was the home of the Serbian Orthodox Church. In the late 17th century Serbs left Kosovo in large numbers as a result of military victories of the Ottoman Turks. This caused the Serbian "center of gravity" to move northward to the region of Belgrade where it has remained ever since. This displacement of the Serb population is known in history as "the great migration". As a result, the region of Kosovo became underpopulated and, attracted by available fertile land, was resettled by Albanians moving eastward from the hills of Albania. At this time these Albanians were both Christian and Muslim.

I took an article based in different sources :)
Anyway as you say history is made of many pages,
Our problem is that we declared Independence verylate comparing to our neighbours, that made us a territory to be sacrificed in order to have peace in 1912. As I mentioned above the conference of Ambassadors 1912 , Eduard Gray (minister of foreign affairs of Great Britain at the time ) said
Peace was found by sacrificing the territory of Albanians.
Still We would be in peace if there was not a policy of ethnic cleansing that went on and on toward albanians during 20th century.

"The earliest known inhabitants of Kosovo were called Illyrians by both Greeks and Romans. Albanians today claim to be direct descendants of the Illyrians. Serbian scholars claim that Albanians appeared on the scene in the early Middle Ages as a result of intermarriage between nomadic shepherds and unromanized remnants of Illyrians and Dardanians from Thrace"

2/19/2008 6:29 PMRe: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Newborn Stat
Kosovo was annexed by Serbia in an unlawful manner Kosovo’s independence will in no way be in contradiction with international law. On the contrary, Kosovo independence even before being qualified as a “classic case of secession from a sovereign state”, as Serbs argue, should be considered as “annulment of an unlawful annexation. In fact it was Serbia that acted in contradiction with international law in 1912 when it annexed Kosovo through military occupation after its aggression against the Ottoman Empire, “even though Kosovo had its historic and ethnic identity, accompanied by its right to liberation, whether that was from the Ottoman occupation (1912) or Fascist occupation (1944), and in spite of its geographical demographic and cultural integrity”. Consequently, instead of admitting its unlawful act, which she committed while violating international law in a bold manner, Serbia is now using an argument which is scientifically and historically unsustainable, namely to “preserve its sovereignty over Kosovo”, which, as proved by facts, she held in an unlawful manner for a long period of time without ever asking the majority population of Kosovo or having their consent. Kosovo was occupied during Balkan wars (1912-1913) in contradiction with the aspiration of the Albanians, expressed during their national liberation movement 1878-1912. In this manner Serbia, in spite of getting the “international legitimacy” for the occupation of Kosovo, in no way was able to justify the legitimacy of its act. In addition to this, Serbian possessive attitudes towards Kosovo which refer to history are unfounded. Firstly they are unfounded in its methodological qualification of the national character of a territory because if history is to be taken as a criteria, in light of contemporary national-territorial realities, Hungary has the right to the Panonic part of Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Hungary would argue about their rights over Belgrade, Greece would claim a right over Istanbul, Albania over Janina, Mexico over Florida and California, Sweden over Finland and Norway, Germany over Shlezi and Sudet regions, Denmark over Shlezivik, Iraq over Kuwait etc. Secondly, Serbia’s possessive attitudes towards Kosovo are unfounded in the aspect of material truth, since Kosovo, in spite of allegations of such nature “in neither a cradle of Serbian nation, nor of Serbian state”. Finally, imperialistic ambitions with “historic rights” could not be defended by England, France, Spain, Portugal, Netherlands, which, as it is known “with centuries held many nations under their occupation. Therefore “with the destruction of colonial empires over 120 new states were created”. Serbia was “under the occupation of Ottoman Empire for over five centuries (1389-1878). Spain “had conquered all Latin America in the beginning of XVI century. Neither do “Russians ever mention their historic rights over Ukraine”. Historic arguments speak very clearly that “Serbs were placed in Kosovo with their expansion under the rule of Nemanjics’”. As a result of occupations during the Ottoman Empire, many ethnic minorities, such as Serbs, Turks and Roma, were placed in the ethnic Albanian territories. The Serbian minority was greatly expanded with the violent colonization that occurred between two world wars; nevertheless their percentage never exceeded 10% of the overall population. On the basis of these facts the conclusion is very clear: it was in deed the Serbian aggression, occupation and annexation of Kosovo that violated the international law and not otherwise, namely that Kosovo independence would violate international law. History is a witness of denationalization policies; of gross crimes against Albanians during 1912-1918; for genocidal Serbian plans for the extermination of Albanians; for the deportation of Albanians in Turkey and for confiscation the lands of the population and its colonization with Serbs and Montenegrins. The time period between February 1998 and June 10, 1999 only exceeded these special cases and took the gravity of a general genocide of the Serbian regime against Albanians.
