where does it say about the world ending in 50 years time. I seem to remember a verse saying that no one knows the time,

@aaron, such people are usually obsessed with this stuff. it seems as they would love this to happen, most probably because their un-happiness or their lacking to accept and assimilate episodes in this "real world".

potential suicidal characters often seek in religion a scapegoat to their frustrations, idealizing "the end of the world" with the end of their "sufferings".

needless to point out how many cult mass suicide cases have been documented in this century.
