IF YOUR GAY WHY LIE ABOUT IT?
If your gay but scared of telling your parents why lie to them when its easy to come out these days. I know some one who lies about there sexuality because told me he was gay, now we have nothing to do with the family because of his lies.Shame really i think.

how sweet.. but u see pete a lot of parents cant just accept their kids being gay, i mean if every parents start thinking like that, eventually there will be too many gays and less kids to adopt.. know what i mean? its just not right u know.. certain religion or if im not wrong every religion is against it..

y is it rong to love whom you love?it is the most rite thing i think besides how is it rong that there are less kids neede to be adopted they would be in a loving caring family and thats good and who cares about if its rong by religion in christian and God created love and we are s'posed to love and that does not mean we cant love sumone of our own gender*not gay-bi occasionally though*

and yes god created love, but also gave us brains to think whats right and wrong.. if u just listen to ur heart, mate, that makes u an animal.. u gotta think.. we are here for a reason, u know, live a good life, be responsible, take care of family, fall in love, and then reproduce (which is missing in their case).. and the whole "gay,bi" thing, ill consider that as a mistake, sin, which is also part of life, but then u ask for forgiveness, dont stand for it..

well said, it's actually impossible to criticize religion, i mean the native americans called homosexuals "two spirited" and they were respected. but christians say it's wrong, jews say it's wrong, muslims say it's wrong, most athiests think it's fine, and i've never met a homophobic agnostic but i'm sure there are many. =\
personally i believe that there really isn't a point to our lives, even if god exists i don't think that each one of us serves a purpace to anything, seeing how there are billions of us. it is possible that homophobia was put in the torah by early jews to try to stop rape and the spreading of infection. that's if god didn't write it.
*sigh* i bet these two paragraphs have offended somone.

Let me tell you something PETE, coming out isn't that easy for all gays and lesbians.
My friend is a lesbian, and it took her forever to tell her mother, and she has never told her father, nor will she ever.
Her dad would dis own her in a split second, which I find sad, but that's the way it is. Many people dislike gay and lesbian people, so you saying it is easy these days to come out is pure rubish.

i would be imposing, i shouldn't judge someone elses judgement. i was going to comment on how he lost contact with his "friend" because he was scared to admit that he was gay. i think that's only going to make him feel more insecure about his sexuality. he has a reason to fake being heterosexual, but i guess the meanie might have a reason for losing contact with him.

Some people don't accept stuff like that still and some would disown their kid if they found out. Maybe people feel embarassed about having to sit down and tell their parents... you don't sit down and tell your parents your straight, so why should people do it when they're gay? There's still a stigma associated with it I guess.

I agree with that, you should be proud of yourself. Like anyone should, what ever their orientation,
But as you know some parents, particulary if they believe their religion tells them it is a sin, do still cause trouble, and children of such patents often feel forced to lie. In many families the family bond is very strong, but Pete I agree with you, they should be able to tell the truth, without any feeling of guilt. I am not gay by the way, but I support human rights, and have several gay friends.
I hope you don't mind my coming in on your thread, but I like gays to know that not all non gays are agin you.
