Why do people post "add me comments"?

well scott ... it's too much on da gals pages ... guys always ask for it ... it's kinda boring !!

And even worse, they post thier email addresses (why I dno't know).

Every so often I respond. I can't help myself. ;)

I dont think its a problem adding someone who is offline, at the end of the day the worst hing thay can say is no, its more presumptious however to chuck in your email address on the comments page for good measure.I generally like to get to know someone a bit first and if their online I`ll ask if I can add them.

Well as I said, I just add if they interest me off the top (offline or on).

But I don't post "add me" comments anywhere. That's just lame. I'm perfectly capable of clicking on the "Add to my Friends" link.

That's easier than posting a comment asking for the reverse...
