قصص خرافية 19- تسمى القصص الأسطورية وغير المعقولة والتي يصعب تصديقها تسمى (قصص خرافية) وذلك نسبة إلى رجل اسمه خرافة من بني عذرة أدعى أن الجن خطفته وبقي عندهم فترة من الزمن ثم عاد إلى قومه يروي لهم مغامراته مع الجن وكان يصعب تصديقها لغرابتها وبعدها عن المعقول. *

The Eiffel Tower
TheEiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. The Princeof Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower. Of the700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's wasunanimously chosen.
However it was not accepted by all at first,and a petition of 300 names - including those of Maupassant, EmileZola, Charles Garnier (architect of the Opéra Garnier), and Dumas theYounger - protested its construction.

The Gateway Arch
TheGateway Arch, also known as the Gateway to the West, is an integralpart of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and the iconic imageof St. Louis, Missouri. It was designed by Finnish-American architectEero Saarinen and structural engineer Hannskarl Bandel. It stands 630feet (192 m) tall, and is 630 feet (192 m) wide at its base, making itthe tallest monument in the United States.
The cross-sections of itslegs are equilateral triangles, narrowing from 54 feet (16.5 m) perside at the base to 17 feet (5.2 m) at the top. Each wall consists of astainless steel skin covering reinforced concrete from ground level to300 feet (91 m), with carbon steel and rebar from 300 feet (91 m) tothe peak. The interior of the Arch is hollow and contains a uniquetransport system leading to an observation deck at the top. Theinterior of the Arch also contains two emergency stairwells of 1076steps each, in the event of a need to evacuate the Arch or if a problemdevelops with the tram system.
The base of each leg at ground levelhad an engineering tolerance of one sixty-fourth of an inch or the twolegs would not meet at the top.
The Aswan High Dam
LOCATION
The High Dam is located just south of the city of Aswan in Egypt.
HISTORY
TheHigh Dam was constructed not only to regulate the yearly flood of theNile, but also to create a water reservoir capable of storing water toprevent famine during severe droughts. Construction of the Dam began in1960 as a national project, undertaken by Egyptian president Nasser whonationalized the Suez Canal to provide funds for the project. With theAmerican and the British refusing to secure a loan for theconstruction, it was the Soviets that designed the earth structure andprovided the equipment required to build the power station. During thecourse of construction, provisions were made to repatriate the Nubianinhabitants, and, in a multi-national effort, to relocate The GreatTemple of Abu Simbel.
In 1970, the Aswan High Dam was inauguratedby president Sadat. Today, the reservoir known as Lake Nasser spansapproximately 500 kilometers across the Egyptio-Sudanese border. Inspite of the ecological problems caused by the dam, it has been ablessing to the Egyptian community. It left the country unaffected bythe drought that hit Africa during the late 1980's, and, in the 1990's,spared Egypt several unexpectedly high floods. A regulated agriculturalsystem is now in place, and, in 1996, for the first time, the water inNasser Lake rose above the spill level. Plans are underway to populatethe area along the spillway of Toshka and to create new communitiesalong the recently constructed Zayed Canal in the heart of the SaharaDesert.
The Hoover Dam
Humanbeings have lived along or near the Colorado River for thousands ofyears. The evidence for this is the hundreds of habitation sites foundthroughout the Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and Lake Mojave area,many of which have been dated with radiocarbon, argon, or by othermeasures.
Some of the earliest peoples have been called "desertculture" people, basket makers, or pueblo people. It is important toremember that these names are just a convenience for those who studypeople and their way of life. These are not names that the people havegiven themselves.
The descendants of the early peoples we know bymore familiar names -- Paiutes, Hopi, Mojave, Yuma, Havasupai,Hualapai. These names are the names which the people have given tothemselves -- for example, Havasupai means "the people of theblue-green water".
The first non-native people in the ColoradoRiver area were Spanish conquerors (conquistadores), who were lookingfor gold, silver or other wealth. Ulloa was the first to see the mouthof the Colorado in 1539. Cardenas, who traveled with Coronado fromMexico in 1540, was the first to see the Grand Canyon. Some of theseSpanish soldiers stayed or returned to live in the area, which is whythe Spanish language is so widely used today in California, Arizona,New Mexico and Nevada.
The sharing of languages was not the onlyeffect of contact between Spanish soldiers and native people. Foods,diseases, tools, horses, and a great blending of cultures was theultimate result of the initial, sometimes unfriendly, contacts.
Sometwo hundred years after the conquerors came, Spanish priests, such asFathers Dominguez and Escalante in 1776, entered and explored parts ofthe Colorado River basin as they looked for routes of travel betweentheir missions. It was Father Garces, also in 1776, who named theriver, Rio Colorado, "river colored red."

حملة للقضاء على اكتئاب المصريين
أطلق مجموعة من الأطباء حملة لعلاج مرضى الاكتئاب النفسي من المصريين والسعوديين، بعد ارتفاع معدلات الاكتئاب في الدول العربية وعلى رأسها مصر والسعودية – كما يقولون. وتهدف الحملة لعلاج هذه الحالات عبر طرق عديدة منها استخدام أبعاد دينية من الاسلام مثل "التشبع بالرضا" و"الخلوة النفسية".
وأطلق حملة (انتصر على الضغوط والهموم) الطبيب المصري رامز طه، وهو استشاري الطب النفسي في مصر، بمشاركة كل من الطبيبين النفسيين احمد محمد عسيري وأنمار بن حامد مطاوع من السعودية.
وأوضح: "الحملة بدأت كمجرد موضوع للتواصل مع قراء الانترنت من خلال موقعي الطبي، لكنها سرعان ما تحولت إلى هدف يريد المشاركة فيه مئات الأشخاص، حيث تعدت مشاركات المتطوعين من الأطباء النفسيين والمتخصصين ما يزيد عن الـ400 طبيب مصري، إضافة إلى العشرات من الدول العربية وعلى رأسها المملكة العربية السعودية التي ستنطلق بها الحملة قريبا، فضلا عن كل من قطر والكويت".

Possiblythe most famous clock face and chimes in the world, Big Ben is actuallythe name of the
biggest bell (13.5 tons) inside The Clock Tower (320ft)which forms part of the HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT.
HISTORY

The Eiffel Tower
TheEiffel Tower was built for the International Exhibition of Paris of1889 commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. The Princeof Wales, later King Edward VII of England, opened the tower. Of the700 proposals submitted in a design competition, Gustave Eiffel's wasunanimously chosen.
However it was not accepted by all at first,and a petition of 300 names - including those of Maupassant, EmileZola, Charles Garnier (architect of the Opéra Garnier), and Dumas theYounger - protested its construction.
DESCRIPTION
At300 metres (320.75m including antenna), and 7000 tons, it was theworld's tallest building until 1930. Other statistics include: 2.5million rivets. 300 steel workers, and 2 years (1887-1889) to constructit. Sway of at most 12 cm in high winds. Height varies up to 15 cmdepending on temperature. 15,000 iron pieces (excluding rivets). 40tons of paint. 1652 steps to the top.
It was almost torn down in1909, but was saved because of its antenna - used for telegraphy atthat time. Beginning in 1910 it became part of the International TimeService. French radio (since 1918), and French television (since 1957)
The Gateway Arch
TheGateway Arch, also known as the Gateway to the West, is an integralpart of the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial and the iconic imageof St. Louis, Missouri. It was designed by Finnish-American architectEero Saarinen and structural engineer Hannskarl Bandel. It stands 630feet (192 m) tall, and is 630 feet (192 m) wide at its base, making itthe tallest monument in the United States.
The cross-sections of itslegs are equilateral triangles, narrowing from 54 feet (16.5 m) perside at the base to 17 feet (5.2 m) at the top. Each wall consists of astainless steel skin covering reinforced concrete from ground level to300 feet (91 m), with carbon steel and rebar from 300 feet (91 m) tothe peak. The interior of the Arch is hollow and contains a uniquetransport system leading to an observation deck at the top. Theinterior of the Arch also contains two emergency stairwells of 1076steps each, in the event of a need to evacuate the Arch or if a problemdevelops with the tram system.
The base of each leg at ground levelhad an engineering tolerance of one sixty-fourth of an inch or the twolegs would not meet at the top.
The Aswan High Dam
LOCATION
The High Dam is located just south of the city of Aswan in Egypt.
HISTORY
TheHigh Dam was constructed not only to regulate the yearly flood of theNile, but also to create a water reservoir capable of storing water toprevent famine during severe droughts. Construction of the Dam began in1960 as a national project, undertaken by Egyptian president Nasser whonationalized the Suez Canal to provide funds for the project. With theAmerican and the British refusing to secure a loan for theconstruction, it was the Soviets that designed the earth structure andprovided the equipment required to build the power station. During thecourse of construction, provisions were made to repatriate the Nubianinhabitants, and, in a multi-national effort, to relocate The GreatTemple of Abu Simbel.
In 1970, the Aswan High Dam was inauguratedby president Sadat. Today, the reservoir known as Lake Nasser spansapproximately 500 kilometers across the Egyptio-Sudanese border. Inspite of the ecological problems caused by the dam, it has been ablessing to the Egyptian community. It left the country unaffected bythe drought that hit Africa during the late 1980's, and, in the 1990's,spared Egypt several unexpectedly high floods. A regulated agriculturalsystem is now in place, and, in 1996, for the first time, the water inNasser Lake rose above the spill level. Plans are underway to populatethe area along the spillway of Toshka and to create new communitiesalong the recently constructed Zayed Canal in the heart of the SaharaDesert.
The Hoover Dam
Humanbeings have lived along or near the Colorado River for thousands ofyears. The evidence for this is the hundreds of habitation sites foundthroughout the Las Vegas, Lake Mead, Hoover Dam and Lake Mojave area,many of which have been dated with radiocarbon, argon, or by othermeasures.
Some of the earliest peoples have been called "desertculture" people, basket makers, or pueblo people. It is important toremember that these names are just a convenience for those who studypeople and their way of life. These are not names that the people havegiven themselves.
The descendants of the early peoples we know bymore familiar names -- Paiutes, Hopi, Mojave, Yuma, Havasupai,Hualapai. These names are the names which the people have given tothemselves -- for example, Havasupai means "the people of theblue-green water".
The first non-native people in the ColoradoRiver area were Spanish conquerors (conquistadores), who were lookingfor gold, silver or other wealth. Ulloa was the first to see the mouthof the Colorado in 1539. Cardenas, who traveled with Coronado fromMexico in 1540, was the first to see the Grand Canyon. Some of theseSpanish soldiers stayed or returned to live in the area, which is whythe Spanish language is so widely used today in California, Arizona,New Mexico and Nevada.
The sharing of languages was not the onlyeffect of contact between Spanish soldiers and native people. Foods,diseases, tools, horses, and a great blending of cultures was theultimate result of the initial, sometimes unfriendly, contacts.
Sometwo hundred years after the conquerors came, Spanish priests, such asFathers Dominguez and Escalante in 1776, entered and explored parts ofthe Colorado River basin as they looked for routes of travel betweentheir missions. It was Father Garces, also in 1776, who named theriver, Rio Colorado, "river colored red."
Jedediah Smith and othertrappers came looking for beavers in 1826, gold miners on the way toCalifornia followed in 1849, and Mormon settlers arrived in Las Vegasin 1855. Las Vegas

فعندما كانت الميراج الفرنسية تراوغه هرب منها ببراعة وتظاهر بأنها اسقتطه حتى اطفئ المحرك ونزل ع الأرض كأنه يسقط وسرعان ما أتم تشغيله حتى فوهه الدخان عندما اشتعلت مرة اخرى لتشغيل المحرك اصدرت غبار من الأرض حتى تبين انه سقط و اصتطدم بالأرض وسرعان ما يحلق بعد ذلك كالنسر فوق السماء

حملة للقضاء على اكتئاب المصريين
أطلق مجموعة من الأطباء حملة لعلاج مرضى الاكتئاب النفسي من المصريين والسعوديين، بعد ارتفاع معدلات الاكتئاب في الدول العربية وعلى رأسها مصر والسعودية – كما يقولون. وتهدف الحملة لعلاج هذه الحالات عبر طرق عديدة منها استخدام أبعاد دينية من الاسلام مثل "التشبع بالرضا" و"الخلوة النفسية".
وأطلق حملة (انتصر على الضغوط والهموم) الطبيب المصري رامز طه، وهو استشاري الطب النفسي في مصر، بمشاركة كل من الطبيبين النفسيين احمد محمد عسيري وأنمار بن حامد مطاوع من السعودية.
وأوضح: "الحملة بدأت كمجرد موضوع للتواصل مع قراء الانترنت من خلال موقعي الطبي، لكنها سرعان ما تحولت إلى هدف يريد المشاركة فيه مئات الأشخاص، حيث تعدت مشاركات المتطوعين من الأطباء النفسيين والمتخصصين ما يزيد عن الـ400 طبيب مصري، إضافة إلى العشرات من الدول العربية وعلى رأسها المملكة العربية السعودية التي ستنطلق بها الحملة قريبا، فضلا عن كل من قطر والكويت".
