Tuesday,May 24 2005, 01:14:44 PMThe Sumo Six (Japan)
Of all the great series in sport, cricket's Ashes, baseball's World Series, none seem as mysterious as Japan's Super Six. We are talking Sumo wrestling, and the countries Grand Champions - Yokozuna - are determined over six major "Grand Tournaments", or basho, which take place on every alternate month of the year. The tournaments last 15 days, contestants fighting once a day, the winner coming away with the prized Emperor's Cup. The winner is the contestant who first makes his opponent step outside of the ring or touch the ground with part of his upper body.
Interest reaches fever pitch at the big events but if you have the opportunity go to the Hatsu-basho in Tokyo in January or the Kyushu-basho in Fukuoka, the last tournament, in November.

I got an opportunity to organize an exposition about my country in College - I'm so excited! This is really cool and I feel very grateful for this. I'll have a lot of work to do, but the idea is just great! I hope I can make something really good out of it!
Friday,May 13 2005, 08:54:47 PMAbout Me
Well, I'm from Japan, but I live in Canada since I was 12. It was hard to make the transition from Japan to Canada, both countries are so different, but now I got used to my life in here - I love this place! Altough I miss Japan sometimes, it was hard to live there. My parents always try to keep chinese culture in our family the best way they can, which is really good. This way I know who I really am...
