Here are some guidelines to treat stress and tension:

Lie down in shavasana. Breathe in and out 20 times deeply and fully. Engage in abdominal breathing which is the most natural method. Become conscious of the diaphragm descending as you inhale.

Become aware of the vital parts of your anatomy starting from the toes, the ankles, the thighs, the stomach, the hands, the heart, the eyes, the eyebrow,
the ears, the mouth, the ears and finally the brain center called Sahasrara
Chakra.

After breathing in, exhale fully until the carbon dioxide is completely expelled. Repeat as many times as possible.
