it's not exactly how i wanted to be, still weak in it's presentation but i tried.
i got the inspiration when i was having classes, the poli sci course and the
ids course i am taking now are kind of similar, talking about poverty in the
global south and economic development. hope i could make something better
someday, in any way...

umm... ok this post might seem stupid to many people, so u might as well not read it...
it is about.. erm, my ideal types among "anime" and "manga"...
as i already wrote a disclaimer....... i'd not mention it again in the content but let me say this once more here... this is EXTREMELY stupid... and I REALIZE THAT but somehow when taking it seriously this is how i think... so... meh~
ANYways.... first of all... it's Yagami Raito from Death Note (Story by Ooba Tsugumi, Manga by Obata Takeshi). Yagami Raito is the protagonist of the story, although he's the "evil" side, the "Killer/KIRA" who kills criminals and wants to create a new world rid of crimes and "evil"... and he would be the God of this new world...
and like many people, i liked this Raito, this "KIRA"... altho i know
what he's doing is "wrong" in the sense of killing, i'm impressed by his clever and careful brain, charmed by his good looks, and how he always stays cool even facing his enemy face to face... the ability to deceive without stupid dramatic acts...
this was why i liked him, the Raito Yagami, the skilled "KIRA." I did not really get to know the original Raito, because since the story started, he already got the Death Note, and what we readers see is how he gets more and more drawn into the competition with L, how his eyes become colder and colder...
until he gave up the Death Note (as a step of his plan, i suppose).
the Raito whom gave up the Death Note has no memory whatsoever about the Note, because the Shinigami Ryuuku (God of Death, the owner of the Death Note), has erased every bit of memory related to the Death Note once Raito gave up the Note.
this Raito, who is now truely innocent and righteous (ok whatever he did before he has no memory of, so ALthough he IS guilty of doing it, the mind which does not have such a memory is innocent), is how the "original" Raito's supposed to be, i think.
Raito whom made use of Misa and a classmate in university to confuse L of KIRA2, is unwilling to use girls' feelings for him to investigate the KIRA case; Raito whom thought of different means to deceive L of any evidence, whom was prepared to kill his own family and friends for his new world, now punches L in the face because of L's low spirits and (pretending to?) give up on the case... (of course L won't... i think). ok. i know i'm blabbing too much... sorry.
so lets get to the point. although the "evil" Raito is clever and smart and dark and calm and cool and... everything, there is something this GOOD Raito has that the "evil" one doesn't have...
that is, a "pure" heart... i wouldn't say he is VERY PURE or whatever... but this Raito has a noble character. this is what matters to me. a respectable personality... that would not take advantage of others' weaknesses, that would not persue a wrong means to achieve his goals... persistant, would not give up even thought he met difficulties...
i'd say, this is the kind of personality i like... idealy, a prince... ne? i know it's impossible... for any real people to be like him; this ideal of mine is not only "my type," but is also what i wanted to become... my ideal type of "myself" too...

ok... for the other person, its Jin from Samurai Champloo...
so far i have only watched 14 episodes of the series... i dont know a lot about him... he's just this quiet, serious-looking, very skilled samurai...

would say, although i dont know much about him... but it's the first time i told myself... if i met someone like him (and he likes/loves me) i WOULD give him my first time... yes, THAT first time............ -__-;;;;
among so so so so many male characters or real life people i've known... i hv never thot "i'd be willing to do it with him" ... however much i LIKEd them...
is it bcos i've "come of age" to think of such things? O_O but... i dont think my mind has matured much over these 10 yrs... ne...
Jin... does not talk much, and even when u talk to him he only replies with "um" "ah" "en"...
might be a boring person? but when he's in love... he is straight forward and does not hold back. he does not hide what he feels. but he is not the type to show his passion by clinging to u or saying sweet things. (yeh, thats the type i CANT STAND @_@;;;;) he is not the possessive type either (probably?)... but he will protect you and be loyaly by your side (mentally) if he loves you... (that's what i think.....................). in conclusion, i find his type of personality is what i'd give myself to... that is what i trust... that is what i seek for... i think.

went to the toronto buskerfest with maggie on sunday, n saw this really great canadian/argentinian tap dancing group called "Malambo." above is a really rough sketch... well just ignore it =P other than the dancing the percussionist was great too. and all 3 dancers can play drums... SOOO COOL!! O_O
then on tuesday we went to CNE. bought a really pertty ring... which was $15 =__= but meh, i like it so... cant help =__=
and there was this weird (not weird, quite gentlemanly actually) israeli person who tried to invite me to coffee...??!!!! @___@ these things give me shivers so i hurried n escaped @_@ like, @_@||||||||||||||||||||
well nice day in general i enjoyed it =D
tmr will go for LINK training for 2 hours, hope i will do fine! ^O^
