July 4th, 1776...a new nation was born. After 6 years of war...the colonies became the United States of America, born by the blood of those who loved freedom at the risk of their fortunes and lives.
It was not an easy birth. The colonists themselves were divided over many issues. Mistakes were made. The rebels managed to muddle through with the help of some oversea allies.
But the nation was born. As we celebrate the Uniteds States' birthday, remember that the price of freedom is bought with the blood of the soldier, sailor, marine and airmen.
