Now and Then I longed
For something I was oblivious
I bemused, I frowned
My God, was it obvious.
Gloomy I was, muddled I was
The subtle melancholy I do hate
A new day came into the sight
Brightened daybreak, enlightened my fate.
Behold a new breeze
Miraculous and alight
Rekindled and rejuvenated me
And made me say “I am alive”.
My writing and my juvenilia
Though very succinct and meager
Let me juxtapose this friendship
For I am desperate and eager.
Penchant of friendship, those morning wishes
They are for me an invaluable chronicle
Oh God, I thank thee
You gave me a morning miracle.

Aside the stream I dream in calm delight, and
watch as in a glass,
How the cloudlets like crowds of snowy-hued and
white-robed maidens pass,
And the water into ripples breaks and sparkles
as it spreads,
Like a host of armored knights with silver
helmets on their heads.
A cloud fell down from the heavens,
And broke on the mountain’s brow;
It scattered the dusky fragments
All over the vale below.
The moon and the stars were anxious
To know what its fate might be;
So they rushed to the azure opening,
And all peered down to see.
And I deem the stream an emblem fit of human
life may go,
For I find a mind may sparkle much and yet
but shallows show,
And a soul may glow with myriad lights and
wondrous mysteries,
When it only lies a dormant thing and mirrors
what it sees.

Nu exista nimic mai important in iubire decat a accepta fragilitatea celuilalt: este ceea ce numim blandete. Nu exista nimic mai important in intelepciune decat sa iti accepti propria ta fragilitate: este ceea ce numim modestie! Sinceritatea, onestitatea, adevarul – inseamna frumusete; daca esti tu insuti – esti frumos!
Primul lucru este acela de a te accepta în mod profund pe tine însuţi. Fiecare se simte inferior într-un fel sau altul. Motivul este neacceptarea faptului că fiecare este unic. Nu se pune problema superiorităţii sau a inferiorităţii. Fiecare face parte dintr-o categorie care îi este proprie şi din acest lucru nu rezultă nicio comparaţie. Şi nu pot să-mi închipui o fiinţă care să aibă totul în această lume. Unii nu au ezitat să încerce, dar au eşuat lamentabil. Fii doar tu însuţi şi va fi suficient.
