Einstein 's right and i am most probably wrong

Tuesday,May 13 2008, 07:16:30 AM

i finally finished reading the brief history of time ~ looking forward to finish "the black hold and the baby universe", also by Stephen Hawking, which i bought when i was grade nine ~ and i had been dubious about my ability to finish the book even before i bought it... anyway....

how the book was written was better than i thought. Stephan Hawking did try to use as few technical terms as possible. nevertheless, some of the concepts are still, remote from common people ~~~ leaving you no room to doubt him, unless you spend hours and hours wiki-ing + doing extra reading .......... >< which is really not affordable by most people ~~~~ no wonder there 's the "briefER history of time" ~ lol ~ if u juz have blind faith in Hawking you can finish the book faster than a romance novel ~

i 'm told by my frds that the version of the book is the HK version... which is small in size + black and white ~ i wonder how many more illustrations there 're for the hard cover one ~~~ it 'd have been so much nicer to the general public if Prof. Hawking juz include a timeline of all the key events in understanding the universe + one short paragraphs for explanation for each big event.......

in any case, Prof. Hawking seemed to include his personal opinion about the giants in sciences , eg. Einstein, Newton, Gallileo ~ lol true that there can be mean people like Newton who 'd try to torture whoever against him using his tricks... but u can't reli do much about it when he's got the upper hand ..... ><

Einstein ~ well... it sounded ridculous that Israel once offered him presidency ~

but Einstein is definitely right about choosing equations over presidency...... and i might be damn wrong about taking up the presidency of Student Council....... and for reforming the Student Council for a **theoretically better structure that has no foreseeable, guaranteed suitable successors .......... (i admit the successor part has brought the whole theoretical model down , it worked very well in other schools )

equations are much more eternal - that i know and that's why i' m trying to go into physics instead of anything else. but should i only concentrate on physics and nothing else?

i don't know ~ i'm willing to spend the rest of my life doing physics to figure that out .... only if i really have the ability to do good physics ~ and i do wish so~

*hee i can't wait to learn Quantum Mechanics~~~  i have made up my mind i shud do more readings on all the big four 200 level physics class topics for a better foundation and more diverse views and approaches??~~~~

only a mathematical approch is resonable to "unformaly" understand quantum mechanics?.....what type of topices needed?
I read Alice in quantum land but it's boring.
