Biography:
The band is really just me! I have been playing music for a long time. I quite for a long time, got real sick, had a liver transplant, and here I am again...doing what I love most (Not counting God and my Family). I origionally hail from Butte, Montana...born and raised there! I started playing bass in 1977 with a couple of Room Mates. We were not very good...but we had a blast! From there I joined a Band called "Bonhauf"...lots of practicing, but never any gigs. I played bass here also. From there, the lead guitar player from "Bonhauf" and myself started a band called "Free Flight". This band consisted of myself, Scott Depple, Tim Heisdorf, and Cory Blato. We did get out and gig some...mostly locally around the Butte area. I played bass in this band too. After that Band colapsed, the guitar player and myself from "Free Flight" formed another band called "Shadowfax". Shadowfax did quite a bit of gigging around Southwestern Montana. This band consisted of Myself, Tim, Jeff Weis, and Jim Starcevich. I played bass in this band as well. After that band broke up, I got together with some other local Butte musicians and we formed "Rapid Transit". This band really did some serious touring! This was a great band, it consisted of myself, Jim Starcevich, Aaron Nehls, and Fred Turk....a great bunch of guys..I had a blast playing with these guys. This was another band where I played bass. This band eventually broke up, and the drummer from "Rapid Transit" and myself got together with a prominent Butte guitar player! We decided to be a trio, and myself, Aaron, and Pete Heidt played a house gig in Butte for about 2 years still using the "Rapid Transit" name...this was some of the best times of my life playing with these 2 guys...great individuals! Another band where I played bass. After this band finally disbanded, I got together with another bunch of Butte musicians and we formed a band called the "Torpedos"! This band consisted of myself, Frank Wilson, Jimmy Sullivan, Jim Silva, Kenny Teasdale...and I can’t for the life of me remember the bass players name. This band got together and played all origional songs written by Silva. We did one show and the Butte Civic Center, and one at the Montana Tech theatre. This is where I started playing guitar. That band was not long lived. After that band, Frank, Jimmy, and myself added a bass player and formed the "Brush Fire Band"! The bass player was from Anaconda and his name was Mike Wilson. We played some gigs. We were a little different Genre from the other bands! We played country and 50’s and 60’s Rock. Frank, Jimmy and myself got tired of playing this music and decided we were going to go back to play Rock (don’t get me wrong, I love Country and Old Rock...just not as fun to play in my opinion). We got together with some other Butte musicians and formed "Lazt Call"! This band consisted of myself, Frank, Jimmy, Mike Ott, and Chris Henderson. This band went through many member changes. First to leave was Chris and Jimmy. We picked a drummer from Glasgow named Tim Mylam and a bass player from Glasgow named Bob Reinhardt. We giged around for another 8 months and then I decided I was going back to school. While I was attending college in Havre, MT, I got together with a couple of musicians in Havre and we formed a band called "Awff Killter". We played mainly in the Havre area for about a year. This band consisted of myself, Stewart McKay, and Tony Rozinski. I then put down my instruments and quite playing. This was in 1989. After my liver transplant last February, the good Lord gave me a whole new outlook on life. I may be here for another 20 years....or 1 year. Whatever it ends up being I thank God for every hour. If you ever experience something like this in your life...don’t give up...Keep on keeping on....Prayers do get answers! I will keep on playing and recording my own origionals and Obscure Music from the past as long as I am on Planet Earth!!!! I would like to thank all of these local Butte musicians for the years of enjoyment playing music with them. Musicians in Butte were like a big Brotherhood back in those days.....and there were a lot of great musicians in Butte then! I hope to hear from some of these individuals since I now have this site up and running! And there you have it....my life story as a musician!! Thanks for visiting MySpace! I hope you got some enjoyment from these songs I have posted here! Everybody......Keep RRRRRRRRockin’!!! Best of Luck in 2008!!

Influences:
There are so many Influences...I don’t know where to begin. I would have to say my favorite (not my biggest) influence is Rod Price from Foghat. Rod passed away on March 22, 2005 but he will be remembered by millions. He just has this style of playing. If I hear a track that Rod is sliding on, I can tell it’s him. Just a great style. The music I love to play the most is the Blues. The guitar and the blues were a marrage performed by God himself. Therefore, my biggest influence is none other than Gary Moore. Gary has been playing since the 1960’s. He has a style that just kills. He is probably the fastest player I have ever seen (Sorry Eddy). His phrasing gives me goosebumps when I listen to him play. My lifes dream is to see him live...Gary come tour the States...please!! My influences mostly come from the 60’s and the 70’s. A few in the 80’s. Jimmi Hendrix is an influence to anyone that has ever picked up a guitar. Then comes Warren Haynes of Gov’t Mule. Jeez...what a player he is. Big influence on me and my playing. Gary Rossington from Lynyrd Skynyrd is another one of my favorite players. His work with Skynyrd as well as the Rossington Collins Band just awes me. Next would be early Aerosmith. Joe Perry and Brad Whitford are a couple of America’s best. I learned a lot of Joe Perry Licks. One of my favorite bands for sure. Next would be Rick Neilson from Cheap Trick. Rick isn’t real fancy, but he is right on and an excellent song writer. GO Rick!! Jimi Paige from Zepplin...a big influence. Excellent Studio and production. Tom Johnston and Patrick Simmons from the Doobie Bros. are also a big influence. Excellent complementation between these two players. Ronnie Montrose is also a big influence. Early stuff with Sammy Hager was the best. Gamma also had some great playing on it. Bryan (BB) Bassett from Foghat (Wild Cherry...Play that Funky Music). A great player and an excellent Slide Guitarist. He does an Excellent job playing Rod Price’s (and his own) licks in the current Foghat configuration. There are so many: BB King, John Lee Hooker, Memphis Slim, Myles Goodwin of April Wine, Greg Allman, John Lennon, George Harrison, Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath, Don Barnes of .38 Special, Eric Clapton, Pete Heidt, Stephen Stills, Randy Rhodes, Eddy Van Halen, Tommy Shaw, Ted Nugent, Duane Roland of Molly Hatchet, Tom Petty, and Mark Knofpler of Dire Straits. I could go on and on but I think you get the drift!
