I wrote this poem for you, I knew that I owed you one. For all the times you've been there, And with a shoulder for me to lean on.
Words can never express, How much you really mean to me, So when I read this poem to you, My words won't really mean anything.
I wish that I could show you,Exactly what I feel for you. When I tell you that 'I Love You' We both know it's not real.
When you told me that you 'loved' me, I didn't quite know what to say. I hugged you, and sadly told you the truth, And we've been best friends ever since that day.
Through good times and bad times, You've seen me through it all. For all the times I've stumbled, You would never let me fall.
Your words were always tender, You knew exactly what to say. From the first time that I saw you, I never knew we'd end up this way.
You swept me off my feet, When we started to learn swing. You dropped me only once, But I still trust you for anything.
From memory to memory, This poem may jump around. It reminds me of the names you gave me, All through school year round.
You called me babe along with sexy, I thought those names were cute. When all of a sudden, right out of the blue, You called 'Pretty Lady'
I'll remember your smile and hugs, And the way your brown eyes shine. I'll never forget the words you said, 'Just call me, I'll be there anytime'
