- About me:Unemployment sucked. Yes, that is past tense. I just got a job offer in Chicago with Bovis Lend Lease which I very happily accepted. I am no longer unemployed and cannot stop smiling. Bovis Lend Lease is a construction management company that works with big projects. I will start work as "Project Engineer" which means I will be an assistant to the project supervisor on the construction of a 30 story building. Bovis Lend Lease is also working the construction of the Chicago Trump Tower.
For those who don't know, I finished my service in Bolivia in September and as of next week, I will be living in Chicago. In the peace corps I was building bathrooms and teaching operation and maintenance courses for potable water systems. It was a frustrating job and I was definitely ready to come home. Other than that, I was a physics major at the University of Michigan and never plan to work in the field of physics. Current plans are to work for a number of years and then go back to school to get a masters in Environmental Engineering or Civil Engineering. Then maybe move back to Bolivia and get a job doing development work with US AID or UNICEF.
