Although there is supposedly no anti gay discrimination it is still there as an undercurrent in every day life.   Wherever I mix with other people in the course of my daily travels I get on fine with everyone - until my sexual orientation as a passive gay bottom becomes known.   I am then gently sidelined by all except the few gay community members who know I am gay - I am well not out to all and sundry and that's the way I want it to be.
