These flowers are really gorgeous, excellent planting job you have with all of them Chris. Mine did started growing but it turned out to be a long piece of grass and those were the first ones you sent me, and the last seeds or bulbs you sent me, I planted them in a nice cool dark place in our basement, watered them when they needed to be, but none of them grew. I just found out when Mark and I went shopping in Lowes, they sell the Amaryllis bulbs. I might buy one in there and try again to grow them.

It does take 3 to four years for a seed to become a flowing bulb. One has to be patient LOL

I understand, but I'm going to try again to grow them sometime soon. I was really sad when the others didn't grow.

love your amaryllis, thanks for sharing, beautiful collection excellent pics, expertly taken, nice to meet a fellow gardener.
I tried starting a gardening group here, but had a very poor response, but as soon as i closed it everybody missed it and asked where it had gone, a group is about people communicating not saying nothing at all.
regards to you and you family, Peter and May-Anne

Thank you for your nice comments Peter. I have been trying my hand at breedind Amaryllis flowers, by cross pollinating ones with different colours!. So far I have had about 12 Amaryllis seeds grow into flowering plants! Only two have been something worth looking at. They are in this collection.

In our garden we have several natural crosses between cowslips and primular! some odd looking RED cowslips appeared LOL.

Have you tried growing strange things? Like pineapples? We have had two (rather small) pineapples growing in our kitchen LOL LOVELY flavour, but very small. Fun to di though¬

I know what you mean about groups, I have several groups that all looked promising at first nad then hardly anyone talks !

People in Zorpia seem to prefer talking in the forums and on their own pages.

I started my Internet life in Yahoo, they were very good I was in many such groups there. But Only about 5 groups are active (Beatles; nature, & Birds and Nature & photography) Several others are now and again! I own loads of groups but they are mainly for storage of certain things!

Take care

Speak to you
