Monday,Jan 23 2006, 01:27:26 PM MUMMY >>>>>PLEASE
A friend of mine in MySpace posted a bulletin against Abortion. This reminded me of a poem that a great friend of mine wrote several years ago, she was 17 at the time. I thought I'd like to share it here.
MUMMY .......PLEASE.
Mummy please don't kill me!
My baby you just don't understand...
Mummy why are you killing me?
Why did your father rape me, why did he demand?
Oh mummy I am so sorry,
But please don't punish me.
I'll grow up to be your friend,
With me you can share your agony.
My dear sweet child, you just don't see,
You are a precious little being.
But your very existence is my very grief,
You I can't deal with seeing.
No mummy, I'll pick you flowers,
We'll have fun together.
I am your little girl mummy,
The pain won't last forever.
Oh baby, I know you'd be beautiful,
But every time I'd look into your eyes... I'd see him.
Every day I'd relive the terror,
The future would be bleak and grim.
Mummy I am not him though,
Don't place the blame on me.
Don't kill me mummy, let me live,
Allow us to create our own happy memory.
Sweetie, it would be difficult,
And you don't want to live on this earth.
Here there is so much persecution, so much hurt...
You'd be exposed to evil from birth.
Please don't be so negative mummy,
I'd love to live and help create change.
I'll love animals and the earth just like you,
Together we'll survive, happiness we'll arrange.
It's not that easy though,
Being compassionate will run you dry.
Your life will end up becoming depressing,
You'll just constantly ponder upon why...
Mummy, learn, life has its ups and downs,
But family and friends make you smile,
Of course there always exists pain,
Hopefully though this will only emerge once in awhile.
Oh my baby, I cannot take your life,
Your spirit is already so intelligent and wise,
Deciding your existence was never my right.
And your father I'll forgive and cease to despise.
Mummy I am so happy now,
Thank you for my life.
Thank you for forgiving my father's flaws,
And realising abortion is not right.
I know it hurt you bad mummy,
But I am here for a reason you'll see.
I am going to make you proud,
I love you my mummy.
