I had a wonderful time yesterday! I, Ros, Wati, Hairul and Ros (his fiancee) went to 1nite stand, compliments of Adelin my sis-in-law. Its a stand-up comedy place and evry month they'll invite international acts. Its not my 1st time; the last time I went was with Najib, Min, Lyz, Mahathir, Tosh and Rino when I was pregnant. We had a roaring good time yesterday, literally! The host, Phil, was soooo funny with his gadgets of infants' toys, making 'them' do dirty sounds and swearing! I'll NEVER buy those toys for Iffah! But i have to tell you, i'm curios how he did it...I'll go to ToysRus one day to just experiment....hehe...
Rino was on baby duty yesterday. He brought Iffah along to 1nite stand for a while, enough time for Adelin to show her off around to her boss and her colleauges. When the show starts, he & Iffah disappears with Tosh and Wenny to have their time together.
What a day yesterday was! I had my 1st module exams in the morning and I did pretty okay, I think. I really enjoyed the long bus ride to Tekka and I had a huge thosai paper with teh tarek to nourish my brain before proceeding to the exam hall. Its been sometime since I did my own thing. Really enjoyed it. =)
Next month, will be Rino's slot with his colleagues to comedy night. i cant wait for my turn in June now....Wondering who to bring this time....hehe...*wink*wink*..

I'm doing my 1st formal training this year after my career change. Certificate in Human Resource Management in SHRI. Next year planning to do my diploma or degree. Its just been a few months working in this line esp at my plant now, but it is fulfilling esp when you know the workers for so long and you know you're acting in their best interest. I've never regreted doing Chemistry, Science has always been my 1st love. If I have a job offer at a big org like Glaxo, i'll not think twice to work at their lab, but for now, its been an exciting change for ...

Thursday,Feb 8 2007, 08:28:59 AMBreastfeeding- MY take on it!
Its been 5.5mnths breastfeeding Iffah and I'm already not looking fwd when she's not latching on. This is tricky... I like her latching on when she's this size now. But as her teeth starts growing and the vision of her still latching on, its just a scary thought. Despite my fiesty girl chewing on my nipples and my imagination getting the better of me, breastfeeding has been a wonderful xperience.
Advantages:
My fav no.1 reason:- No need to get up to do formula in the middle of the night. I just need to open my eyes once she keeps shifting left & ...

hey i hope you won't mind me sending you this. throw it out if it means nothing to you, but please do read it! thanks :)
a message about Islam, it is a really interesting religion, even if you don't agree with it.. It's a way of life, not just a religion. Basic belief is that there is one God, that he sent us to earth to test us so that the people who sincerely worshipped him could go to heaven... just like anything in this life (a job, friend, money, grade) has to be earned, heaven...the most costly thing of all, must be earned.
In Islam there are practical guidelines for every aspect of life. God (in Arabic language God is called Allah)never sent us on Earth without purpose. There is a purpose and a goal and we must realize God is watching us every minute and he did not create this universe in vain, he knows exactly what we are doing, saying and we will be asked about everything before we enter either heaven or hell. Islam is the completion of Judaism and Christianity. Each religion came with a Prophet and each religion was for its specific time and place.
The Quran (Muslim holy book) teaches that each religion had the same message : that there is only one God, but people changed God's message, that is why more than one Prophet had to come and reteach the religion. Islam has the same message of Jesus of Moses of Noah of Joseph of Adam, to believe in one God. The Quran is the last and final book of God, it has been preserved in its exact original form. If you study history and research the preservation of it, you will find that this is true. No historian or scientist refutes this. No other holy book was preserved in such a way.
God says in the Quran that it will be preserved till the end of time. No other religion is so comprehensive in content. Islam teaches people how to live every aspect of their lives, not just one or two. It is a practical religion that teaches people how to live life in the best way possible, without displeasing God. Most people pass life these days with no real purpose. No real goal. Many think life was made ONLY to have fun. But if this is the case, how can heaven just fall into their laps, without any real effort? Islam teaches people to balance themselves between this life and the hereafter (heaven/hell). Whatever you do in this life must be good because it will help you earn a either good, or bad, hereafter. Islam teaches people how to balance the two and enjoy life within the guidelines God gave us.
The word Islam comes from the word "Peace" and teaches people how to live life peacefully. It is forbidden in Islam to hurt anyone, regardless of religon, faith, etc. It teaches people to be kind to their parents and reminds them of how they took care of children when they were young and helpless, it teaches people to treat kin and neighbor well, to "love for your brother what you love for yourself" , it teaches people to educate themselves and become leaders of society, it teaches people what IS goodness, it teaches people about everything (even small things, like the best way to eat and the best way to sleep and best way to use the restroom!), it teaches most importantly , justice to all people. It is completely in sync with science and has many miracles in it. It speaks of how the spermdrop and egg join to form a baby, how mountains keep the earths balance, about space and its components, about the contents of the earths crust, and many many other miracles that were discovered to be true centuries after they appeared in the Quran.
If you read books by "Ahmed Deedat", he has done thorough research to broaden your perspective and question "truths" that people tend to believe without doubt. A GReat book is called "The Bible, The Qur'an, and Science" By Maurice Bucaille -- its written by a man who was not Muslim when he wrote it (it is available online, i may be able to send u the link if u'd like). Many people claim to be Muslims but they do evil and make the religion of Islam look bad. They are not considered Muslims, since a Muslim is one who follows the religion of Islam and has "submitted to God" (that is another meaning of the word Islam-- submission to God.) If you read about Islam, you will find its message sublime. The message of Islam, has a clear purpose, no contradictions. To follow it is simple and its logic is impeccable. It teaches people how to live life peacefully. The Quran is, as mentioned earlier, an unchanged book. It is still in its original language and form and is memorized by people of all races and backgrounds. It is not lost in translation. All Muslims strive to learn Arabic as it will help them in understanding the word of God. They read translations, but very importantly, they realize that the background of a verse must be understood before jumping to conclusions. By reading the background, you know what a verse is really saying and in what context, reference, and circumstance. Just give it a chance, if it does not seem logical (make sense) to you---drop it. You never know what you might find.
Hope all is well with you... :)
