my week here is almost up. its already thursday evening. just got back from another shoping trip with my parents. my legs are aching now. what more with my left leg in sitches. nothing major. no worries. realized that the painkillers that the doctor gave me were not suitable. made me very anxious. so i guess i'll offer the pain to god. :P

sunday 4.8.06

attended sunday mass for the second time. the new priest had installed from fans in the church and i think it looks funny. its such a waste of space. i know its hot and humid, but what bout air conditioning, am sure fr. cheah would have done that instead of those awful looking metals. after b'fast, we visited my grandpa. he is sooo skiny now. no. this is not the 1st time i've seen him since my arrival. have seen him in the 1st week... had dinner together for my dad's birthday. he turned 71.my cousin sister came over as well. she's due next month. expecting a baby boy. so excited for her. she has a new puppy as well. sssoooooooo adorable and cuddly. after that it was just me and mom. hanging out.. chillin and talking. had bak kut teh for dinner!!!

monday 5.9.06

woke up late. miss my doctors appointment. :P gonna see him tomorrow. visited sister lily instead. we talked for awhile.. updated her with the happenings of my life... got rambutans from her... its been so long!!! when back home and slept! i slept till 7 in the evening! so much for saying am done with jet lag...

tuesday 6.9.06

my dad turn on every single light in the room! how am i to not wake up this time? it rained. almost the entire morning. was rather nervous with the doctor. dont really know what he'll say. i hate not knowing. i ask my mom to go in with me... anyway, i had a minor surgery done and that was it. just some cream to apply and some pills. gina found out about the surgery and came over. went over to her mom's place and had lunch there. since i was wearing a pair of jeans, she gave me a dress to wear... and got me water proof band aids. i was not allowed to carry anything.. not even baby sarah... oh.. was also very saddned by the death of steve irwin. its untimely. i feel so bad for his wife and kids. for his family. for his friends. but then again, millions of people die everyday. got home at like 10 something... called fr. michael... would be visiting him on friday. so excited.

wednesday 7.9.06

woke up late again... lol... was kinda upset with my dad for trying to wake me up. he did that by calling my cell phone!!! dont really remember what i said to him... but when back to sleep again... he got to complain to my mom before i did... had b'fast with them (yes... it wasnt that late) and a few friends. again i ordered a whole load of stuff... which (to everyones amazement) i manage to chow down. helped my dad collect his medication at the hospital and saw frieda. she looked so different now. so much more beautiful. the last time i talked to her was when i was in kl and she in india, studying med. it was great talking to her. decided to donate blood after that. for that decision, i found out how much i weigh... (i kinda promise myself that i'll not weigh myself) gina called mid way - my dad had to pass me the phone, to see if i had any plans. told her i wanted to get my hair cut. so she drove over after i was done. my dad wasnt too happy, but i promised him that i'll spend the whole day with him tomorrow. had my hair done, nothing drastic and went shopping! yes... shopping with 4 stiches! had rice and frog legs for dinner with my family!!! finally... have been buggin my mom for it since i arrived. my cousin came over to hang out and chat. after she left, i bumbed into fr. george. i used to call him bro. george. it took awhile to get use to calling him fr george. anyway, was surprise that he still remembers me and the year he met me! we sat down and started talking. yak yak yak.. it was already 1 something in the morning. it was a little before 10 when we sat down! he's over in bm to attend the msgr.'s silver jubilee.

thursday 8.9.06

was suppose to go up to penang hill today. but because of my love of sleeping in, and him having a previous commitment later in the evening, we went shopping! its fun shopping with my parents. i like to torment them by purposely choosing the most ridiculous/scandalous looking outfit and trying it on... should have seen the looks on their faces. my poor dad... i think he said like a million hail mary's today. i think i ate way too much today... realizing that am only left with 2 days, i ordered 4 different dished for breakfast!! and yeah.. i ate all of them... will be back in the us looking like a beach ball. visted my aunty on the island. she didnt change at all. looked the same. very lucky lady.

mom made dinner tonight. love her cooking. hope that i'll one day be able to cook like her. she is one who is able to raid the fridge and comes up with 3 -4 dishes! without any reference! amazing.

will be visting fr michael tomorrow. very excited and happy. remembered when i called him a week ago.

almost figured out my transportation when i get back.

am gonna start packing my stuff now i guess...

i seriously cannot believe that its been a week since i got here. it went by so fast. its a funny feeling you know. part of me is relieved that its been a week, yet part of me is sad. i am so happy to be with my family and friends again, but am also anxious to get back to my other home. it feels like i am living a double life. i am enjoying every single moment here, mostly eating and shopping, but am missing my family and friends back home as well. miss my girls so much. miss their hugs and kisses. miss their laughs and giggles.
