It just takes one flick on the system to change absolutely everything.
Life has several episodes, each unique one with its unique settings. These episodes can be defined w.r.t, a strong change on a person's life, for example migration, birth of relative/friend, death of relative/friend, graduation... etc. Generally, an episode is strongly based on a person's home, workplace and friends. If you are a high school student, do you remember your school days? If you're a school level student, do you remember your primary-school days? Seems like a completely different episode then, doesn't it? Just remember the friends you had, people you knew, places you passed by each day, cafeteria you ate from, toilet you pissed on, smart things you did, weird thing you did etc. Such events build an episode which is simply ‘how it used to be’. Each episode has its character; each episode has its moments. Do you think even one of those episodes could occur again?
World is just too dynamic for that to happen, an episode once completed will never come back. Even if it did, it would never have felt the same on a different age; by time a person changes his personality and way he analyze things. How you perceive an event now could be completely different that how you'd do that two years ago.
Amongst all other episodes that your life is made up of, there is only one episode that you’re roughly in control of; the episode that you are living now. People like to wait for a better episode to come in their life, completely ignoring the episode that’s running now. It’s just like writing pages of notes, and promising oneself to make a better and cleaner handwriting from next page. If you promise to make it better next time, when you have a chance to make it provably the best now, you’ll only be losing your papers. You keep waiting for that next page, which you expect to be the best page you ever worked on, a wait that will never end.“It just takes one flick on the system to change absolutely everything.”
As always you’ve been taking the preset episode for granted, waiting for a better, happier episode. And as always you have been missing the episodes that passed by, friends that moved on, people you’ll provably not see again, people that only stays in you heart now, people you hated, people you loved, places you loved… And, again you take the present episode for granted without even thinking for a moment that this episode can change and change in a flash.
