Monday,May 5 2008, 12:12:06 AM Romance Scammer?

romance scammer??

i m the naive one but grateful of being protected by God the Merciful.

a week ago, a message came offering purely friendship.Like most first messages, they will start with the admiration of me wearing the head gear etc etc.

a week of normal polite online exchanges, X claimed to be a saddened man who has lost his wife in an accident back in Venezuela, now starting a new life with son in the states and working in Nigeria.

he sent in 4 photographs, two which have him n son..come to think of it, it was really carefully planned..

sensing that there was something not quite right, i decided to talk to my husband abt it and the next time X came online, my hub n I spoke to him. we even offered to have his son visit us for summer holidays.

but still doubting him, i challenged him to show himself via webcam and as expected he came with lame excuses. he says that he will suprise me once he's back in the states as he is now in Nigeria.

today started as an unhappy day for me as my hub confesses that he is really unhappy/jealous that I chat with X.told him that i do not want anyone else but him and asked for most 5 days to settle what i so stupidly started.

tonite, just now X came online again. as usual, he'll show concern over me asking whether i am well etc. but in his last reply to me, he accidently copied his online conversation with another girl. apparently he is also chatting with another and the lines to her are not unfamiliar to me.

i was dumb folded for a sec before i wrote the most vulgar reply i have ever written in my entire chat period. X immediately made himself invisible!!i hope that i wont be hearing from him.

i then confronted my hub, kissin his hand for forgiveness.

lesson learnt!!

p/s : the other girl he was manipulating has this display name: Jane Doe

p/s : cant help wondering his modus operandi..what he actually wanted!!

dishonest people are everywhere in real life and also on the internet. It is much easier to lie on the net so you should be careful. However, I think you can judge people from the smallest things. You also have to follow your heart. The heart never lies...from the beginnig you thought something must be not right...you should have listened to your heart.
You have a great husband Masha Allah because he is protective and caring.
Have a blessed life, shima :)

hey..yeah i guess we all learn from experience.
but the climax is, even after it all he had the guts to appear again n said that he will never forget me.i had to give him the most vulgar phrase i ever used in my entire 40 yrs of life..
anyway, pray that he will repent and realise himself (hahhaha too much to hope for from these con men??)
thanks
