I don't understand his appeal at all, let alone any hotness factor (Are you kidding?). He seems to try to hard to appear more mature or cool. I think the genius of PR is self-fulfilling prophecies: if you keep telling everyone how he's so amazing (Next Big Thing), then people start believing it. I've seen his acting before and I didn't sense awe-inspiring ability (Comparison: Leonardo DiCaprio in What's Eating Gilbert Grape?).

I was just reading in Entertainment Weekly an interview with Shia and he's a smoker! I don't know but for some reason that really made me go "ohhh *sad face*" I just don't understand why kids these days make the decision to smoke especially after all we know about what it does to your body. But I guess when you're a famous celeb, you can afford to have your teeth whitened and skin cleaned. You could probably even afford new lungs. He's still a talented actor, I was just a tad disappointed. Oh well.
