These scenes provide the younger generation in a culture, those who are 'told' what to do by those in power, or seeming power [in the case of echelons of middle management] an outlet to express. I believe that as our societies technologies and systems are changing so fast that there are innumerable complexities that build up, feedback loop patterns that flutter like viruses through our sociological computer, constantly adjusting it and redesigning it, when there are bottlenecks and constricted flows of these energetic patterns we see poverty and crime. We all know that violence in society centres in poor areas, but no-one blames poverty they blame the individuals, and the nature of such blame and its validity is another subject entirely. I think that these bottlenecks come about thorugh pent up emotions in the individuals in a society that are completelt natural due to its subdugation for the greater good or order. Why would a young man rob, or rape or burgle, steal and cheat, what would have happened if that person had been able to express himself adequately in society..... Obviously every situation, individual and scenario is different, but as such a rule is true it is also true that they all belong to the same system. The creative digital revolution we all play a part in everyday, it incorporates all media and all formats and reaches out to anybody who will take part. The same technology that imprisons people in a commercial prison of the senses can give them a greater understanding of themselves, their environment and ability to interatc with it and manifest their imaginations. There is power there, to be a catalyst and enzyme for change.
