Corners 2008

Corners is a project that evolve the stone faces project. I walk a lot trought the very secret streets of my hometown, equipped with the hardware for shooting and enthisiasm.

I have the right music in my portable mp3 player and  i just look around:
a shadow, some light falling trought the clouds, a bird flight, empty windows, buildings...
A full immersion in myself and in what surrounding me, al full of the glory of the light. Cornes is a very intime project, i hope you enjoy the images

Stone faces project 2008

Ston faces is a long term project intended to collect this particular architatural form of art.

My hometown, Trieste (Italian: Trieste; Slovene and Croatian: Trst; German: Triest, Greek: Tergèste, Τεργέστη) in northeastern Italy is a very beatifull city and port, on the Adriatic Sea.. Is the northtern port of mediterranean sea, and have al long an troubled history, from roman empire until Annexation to Italy after world war II.  most of his develop was under the Austro-Hungarian Empire , in fact it was the only city in the empire to share the imperial architects of wien.

The result of all this dominations is a mosaic of styles and cultures. It the city of James Joyce ,
Italo Svevo , Umberto Saba  , Boris Pahor , Claudio Magris .

Its a pleasure to take a walk throught the ghetto or the borgo teresiano, or the old san giusto castle, look at the buildings, and have the impression that this faces watch you from the past....
