Tuesday,Mar 31 2009, 05:12:51 AMThe video from Mooloolaba triathlon 2009

I have compiled a montage video of my Mooloolaba triathlon 2009 experiences. A unique experience of being rejected then being sent an unflattering rejection letter with my refund which emphasise the rejection.

Needless to say, I did the open ocean swim as a consolation effort. Much to my disappointment I had underachieved and I had swam very ordinarily due to the conditions and my prerace prep which was a 4 kilometre run in the morning before the dip in the ocean. I had suffered the usual sleep deprivation just like Lee Greer which had lasted the entire weekend whilst I was in Mooloolaba.

I am now considering yet another roadrun a half marathon effort scheduled for this weekend in Saint Lucia campus of the University of Queensland. This is being run by Intraining in Milton, Brisbane and it ought to be interesting because ths is a twilight run. I might do it and it might become a last minute spontaneous decision.

I had a friend from across the creek compete in Mooloolaba as well and I had video taped his efforts as well.

Enough said for now.

Ia manuia tatou uma mo lenei fo'i taimi.

Sunday,Mar 22 2009, 09:32:56 AMThe Australian Labor Party victory in Qld.

Just as I had predicted the Queensland Australian Labor Party had won resoundingly in the recent State elections.

http://www.abc.net.au/elections/qld/2009/

To celebrate the occassion of being enfranchised in Australia at long last, I had video taped and took some photos to mark the occassion. People looked strangely at me and some officials even approached me and questioned what I was up to. I explained the occassion and they accepted the BIG DEAL, I was making of it.

Citizenry democratic rights is often neglected by those who have it for free, as for thsoe who havce paid for it dearly, through citizenry tests and hundreds of dollars and years of assimilation and integration it is quite an occassion. working in a country and paying taxes without representation has been a burden of sorts, let alone being subjected to injustices by certain elements throughout this community. This has left an insipid indelible impact in my life. To savour the occassion of survival inspite a seemingly inimical environment, however, I have endured and have survived. This is what marks this occassion very special for me. No one will know what I have been through and only I can truly know what it feels to endure and to survive. This is my moment of triumph.

http://www.zorpia.com/timtufuga/video/157651/Tim_Tufuga_votes_in_the_Queensland_State_elections_2009

In the meantime, my prediction was correct. The Queensland Labor Party did win the state elections voting into office the first female Premier of any State, this time it was Queensland that bet the rest of Australia.

Ua fiu fo'i o lenei tamaloa i le faiaiga so'o.

Ua lava fo'i lenei talanoaga.

O Tim Tufuga

O lenei o lo'o sauni nei e toe mili i le Mooloolaba triathlon e faia nei i le Sunshine Coast, i le aso sa, o le 29, o Mati, 2009. E amata nei i le 0730 i le taeao. O Tim Tufuga

Saturday,Mar 21 2009, 04:41:01 AMState elections and my personal website

I have voted at the Queensland State elections. It was the first elections of any sort I have actively and politically participated in. I took along my camera so as to mark the occassion. I took a video footage and some pictures at the polling booth and was trying to upload it over the internet but I was surprised with the 'firewall of china' or rather the firewall of south east Queensland which has hit me. I could not even upload a single photo.

To make matters particularly worse, I had my timtufuga@hotmail.com email address compromised, as well as, my spaces website, http://www.spaces.msn.com/timtufuga website compromised as well. I can no longer access this website to change or input anything. Therefore, some smart aleck person has managed to access my password and has henceforth changed my password. I can not read my hotmail maibox at all.

Needless to say, if you do read a message from my hotmail address then iot is definately not from me, Mr. Tim Brian Tufuga.

I am on yahoo now and I have a yahoo email address in order to retrieve legitimate emails addressed to me. Otherwise, I will not be able to retrieve any messages from my hotmail mailbox which will not read by me at all anymore thanks to the smart aleck from whereever.

In the meantime, the elections will soon be over and the polling booths will close come 1800 AEST. Then it will be awaiting the results over the tele.

On my early hunch? I suspect that Queensland will have voted into office its first ever female Premier, the Hon. Anna Bligh MLA. The LNP and its hapless leader Mr. Lawrence Springborg, may continue to remain the bridesmaid yet again.

Then again, I may be wrong? I have seen enough trouble rousers for one day. For the record though, it is comforting to feel enfranchised as an equal citizen, at least, in theory anyway.

I have voted today and I have become part of of the democratic process of Australia at long last.

Good day.

Ia manuia le palota

Tim Tufuga
