I would suggest you take a visit to shanghai its quite a nice city , cost of living is fair, prices are good and there are lots of things to do and excellent Night Life which can fit a variety of tastes,  well people in shanghai are very busy working so its not exactly the most friendly City in China, anyway all Big Cities have this Problem.!.
