A letter to terrorists

You thought you would destroy us when you bombed
our twin towers
What you didn't count on, was this uncrushable
spirit of ours
Contrary to the words of a popular song, the world
didn't quit turning
Instead, on that day, we all felt our sense of
brotherly love returning
For those of us who were far away, all we could do
was hit our knees and pray
For the victims, their families, their friends and
the rescuers that day
Those who were close enough pushed up their sleeves
and did hard work
As soon as we caught our breath, we slapped away
your arrogant smirk
We will never forget and we will never forgive
We will hunt you down, no matter where you live
A word of advice to you my cowardly, terrorist,
friend
Sleep lightly for this could be the night you meet
your end
