No one can really explain how God works... Just a few months ago, we have been praying for Revival in our church. I used to have seven (7) kids in my Sunday School, two of them are my twin son. The other three are children of our pastor, then the other two are my friend's kids. Some few years back, getting a response from the kids in the class is a challenge. They are active alright, and bright as well. They easily memorize Memory verses, and they participate in the discussion. But, they are really shy, too shy to be active. You can hear a drop of pin during discussion because they are too timid. But today, we are counting 37 heads and growing! It started just a month ago, when the children started pouring over. Most of them are from the neighboring community- a gravel pit. Ages 3 to 12, most of them stopped studying due to poverty. Some of them are now working- sorting garbage to sell, just for a living. Then, there are also these children who always arrives in a trycycle ( a trycycle is a motorcycle with a cart attached). Yes, all 11 of them loaded in a small ride! And all of a sudden, there's a new life in our church. It seems like a spark that grows so wild. This is an answered prayer! Hungry and thirsty souls all longing for the water of life. It's true, when God pours His blessings, you really have to be ready- because it's overwhelming! That is why last November 2, we organized a "Cereal Party". Filipinos are not really cereal-eaters, especially the ones in depressed areas. That is why, the party was a success! First, we shared a prayer. Then, I teach them our team song: One Way Jesus with action. Then we shared the Word of God. Just before we eat, we played some games first. Our church's Youth Ministry helped me with the activity ( Thanks! ;-) ) Two Sundays have already passed after that day, and we are receiving positive feedbacks from the parents. The children are very eager to attend the classes. We run out of seat, and we are now always in a hurry just so the Service will start on time (we do not have a place to stay). Though, we are one in vision: God will provide. Tonight, my twins prayed for our Sunday School. They thank God for the children and for the continuous coming of more kids to share the gift of God. I believe God answers our prayers, He really does. God will provide our needs and He never fails! God Bless!
