I plan to do a featured artist of the month segment so we can get to know our members. Featured artists will be asked to post a short (about the artist) segment about themselves talking about what they like to do, where their inspiration generally comes from, who they take after, what styles they are into or have experience with, what they hope to do in the future, where they're from and so on and so forth. if you are interested in doing this please contact me supermanrunning1 or the group mediator. if you are interested in becoming a group mediator please contact me. being a group mediator involves trolling for artists on zorpia and inviting them to our group as well as policing inappropriate behavior. we're pretty laxed here but there are always those who will be an ass. the more people we can get involved in artists unite the better for all of us. artists and art lovers as well. more members means being taken more seriously and more exposer. in the future i will be looking into coding that will prevent anyone from copying art from the web sight thus protecting our new emerging artists from those kinds of problems. for now look at it as sort of a file sharing philosophy, the more people who have a copy of your work the better because you get exposure. plus you can always put a water mark on it. so lets get those request in to be the features artist. I really look forward to knowing you and may even solicit participation.

The 2nd Silk Route Art Contest is now underway. You are invited to email a photo which you think fits the poem mentioned above to silkroute_zorpia@yahoo.ca

The Subject line of the email should read "Contest". Type in the email the passage of the
poem that fits your photo best.

Photos wil be accepted until midnight April 20, 2007. The photos will then be posted to the album on April 21.

Voting will start on April 21. Details to be announced later.

welcome to artists unite. i'm glad to see my efforts to join artists together is sortof working. keep in touch with this group please. post topics and strike up conversation or even contraversy. keep people passionate about it. most importantly make an album for your work with the group and show off your stuff. thanks
