I proctored the Nurses Licensure Board Examination for 2 days..... ah,what a day! I can still recall the examiner's 'tensions' evident on their shaking of fingers,esp. on the 1st hours of the 1st day...fidgeting, croaked voice, etc.
I can pretty well relate to it...was like being put in a hot seat where I myself is being tasked to answer my own tough questions.. of my own life. "What if...??? " It was a life-defining moment..a major crossroad of life...where I begin to doubt my own capability. "What if..???" Then I knew...that's it! ..my knowledge wasn't mine to own ....it's a gift that i should be thankful of!!
My calming salve was a chanting of these words....."Lord, I am nothing without you...my knowledge,my skills,my confidence,my abilities...all came from you. I know you know what's best for me..I will do my best today...and the rest is all up to you, amen.".....I was calm...I did my best...and He never let me down! :)
Today, I am happy that I was able to be of helped to the future nurses of my country through my own little way..making them feel at ease...and guiding them on what to do properly...Yup, in the silence of my heart..I chanted my own personal prayer for them...I hope and pray that the magic of it will work again! :)))
